“Cincinnati is working to hire Utah State’s Jerrod Calhoun as its next head coach, sources tell On3. The former Bearcats student assistant under Bob Huggins has emerged as the leading target over the last week.” Nothing new so far, but I will say, Calhoun has ALL the leverage. Cincy needs Calhoun A LOT more than Calhoun needs Cincy.

Sources: Charlotte is hiring Wes Miller as the school’s next head coach, as he’s agreed to a five-year deal, per me and @jeffborzello. He’s the former head coach at Cincinnati and UNC Greensboro.

Cincinnati has reached a buyout settlement with former men's basketball coach Wes Miller. Miller will be paid a lump sum of $3.1 million, a source familiar with the agreement told @TheAthletic. The two sides parted ways last week.

It may not work, but I’m very happy the #Reds didn’t throw their hands up and say “ah well, just send 1 of Williamson/Burns/Lowder down since we don’t have room” None of those dudes deserve to be in Louisville. They can all be massive pieces for this staff. It may not be a perfect science, but I’m glad they’re trying it.

Burns,Lowder and Williamson all made the team. Six for five spots. They’re all starters.
