Update on our son William. I attached a photo from a medical journal of what he’s experiencing you at your own discretion. Official diagnosis: Staphylococcal Scalded Skin Syndrome Very rare and even more so in newborns. Doctors are optimistic that within a couple days his pain will subside. He looks and feels how the name sounds- like he’s got major burns all over his body which is due to a toxin that the bacteria secretes. Sleeping is very hard for him because of the pain. Moving forward: ⁃They expect a full and total recovery 🙌 ⁃They expect us to be here another 10-14 days 😢 This time is to let the antibiotics run their full course to ensure it is fully flushed from his brand new body that isn’t super ready to fight this. We are sad and overwhelmed at being a split family for two weeks and that he’ll have spent more time in a hospital than home in his life but very restful to the medical team and to God for no longer being in a life threatening position. If people ask how they can help: They can utilize our meal train from birth. Life Update: After a couple rough nights and a rash our trip to the pediatrician with our 13 day old son William lead to being sent to the ER to being admitted to the hospital. If you’re a praying person we’d appreciate it. This is very scary for us. 🙏
