Sheriff Chad Bianco

The day I take office, we abolish state cooperation with ICE. We protect our neighbors and keep our families whole; we don't tear them apart. Simple as that.

ICE makes us less safe, and as Governor, I will treat the protection of every Californian as my most important job. That means rejecting federal overreach and ensuring our infrastructure serves our communities, not a horrific deportation agenda. If you aren’t willing to stand up and protect the people who live, work, and worship in your own community, you have no business running for Governor. And that goes for every Californian, regardless of their immigration status.

As always, I have to do my own research on things because I don’t trust anything anybody says and it’s not a knock-on people who say it. My personal experience is that I don’t feel comfortable saying something unless I’ve done the research. This entire line of attack that Chad Bianco is soft on immigration is ridiculous. I don’t look at statements that are taken out of context. First of all, I look at the entire statement. Second of all, I look at the known record of a person, especially if they have a 30-year track record. The attack is based on a February 2025 video where Bianco said his deputies “have not, are not and will not engage” in civil immigration enforcement. In the same statement, Bianco said he would “continue to fight to reform an extremely dangerous sanctuary state law” and called out the “reckless politicians” who passed it. Under California law, a county sheriff legally cannot have deputies conducting civil immigration sweeps. That is federal jurisdiction. Bianco is stating a legal fact, not a policy preference. What he CAN do and DOES is cooperate with ICE inside jails, transfer criminal illegal aliens into ICE custody, sue to kill SB 54, and publicly back Trump’s deportation agenda. He runs a 4,200-employee, $1.3 billion department and anybody knows that being sheriff is very difficult. In June 2025, America First Legal added Sheriff Bianco to the Huntington Beach lawsuit against Gavin Newsom and Rob Bonta to kill SB 54: the California Values Act. The Trump DOJ filed a 36-page statement of interest backing his lawsuit. No other California sheriff has gone that far. His direct quote on SB 54, "If that involves working somehow around SB 54 with ICE so that we can deport these people that are victimizing us and victimizing my residents, you can be 100 percent sure I'm going to do that." Riverside County transferred 43 inmates to ICE custody in 2025 more than triple the 13 transferred in 2024. While LA Sheriff Luna publicly refused to cooperate, Bianco maximized every crack in SB 54 that state law allows. It's really easy to talk when you have no proven track record. Personally, for me, actions speak way louder than words.

Chad is for Illegals to have citizenship. I'm not a Chad voter, Steve Hilton is not a born citizen but naturalized -even though I like his policies... I don't think ANY naturalized person should be allowed in politics...but you have to vote for someone when no one of promise steps up.
