Creating a sleep album in one of India’s busiest cities sounds backwards. But this is part of my ongoing work exploring calm and nervous system regulation through music. More soon! "Kehna Hi Kya", K. S. Chithra, A. R. Rahman

In a culture where sleep has become one of the most overlooked parts of our health, it’s encouraging to work with a team that is genuinely focused on helping people rest better. Thank you Sollos! “Tell Me, What Did You Dream?” is available now exclusively on Apple Music.

Burnout rarely happens because we worked too hard. It happens because we never truly rested. True rest consistently allows your nervous system to regulate which builds capacity to do everything else.

I used to think rest was something lazy people did. Then my body quit. Turns out rest isn’t the opposite of work. It’s what makes the work possible.

You don’t always feel calm in your thoughts right away. Your body adjusts first. Your mind catches up later  But if your chest isn’t bracing for impact…it’s working. Next time you’re trying to calm down, notice your body's reaction.  That’s where the real answer lives.

Reminder: calm expands capacity.  Pressure narrows it. Happy creating!

Everyone thinks calm means quiet. But that’s not actually how calm works. Calm isn’t the absence of thinking. It’s the moment your body stops bracing for danger. So next time you’re trying to calm down, don’t check your thoughts. Check your breath, your jaw, your shoulders.

Most of us check out calendars before we check our nervous system.  Regulation first. Everything else second. Have a great weekend!

Beginnings ask this one question: Are you here now?  You showed up. You made it here and that is enough. Pause before you apologize.  Let this be your gentle reminder: you're not later, you're not doing something wrong. You're here now and that is enough.

Pressure looks like discipline, but it slowly burns us out. Real growth doesn’t come from forcing consistency. It comes from beginning again over and over. Sometimes real progress looks like showing up, pausing, and choosing to begin again without guilt.

I’ve been hearing from so many of you after the latest episode and I wanted to say this: Some of your best days are still ahead. In this week’s Calm It Down Podcast: "What's Waiting for You", I talk about learning to loosen our grip on fear and let hope have a little more room.
