[1/2] One of the first things I did at OpenAI was to design the diff format to represent code changes. v4 is inspired by the unified diff format and optimized for LLMs. Specifically, we removed all line numbers because LLMs can't get them right especially with multiple diffs.

1/ I competed for Team USA at IOI in 2015, so this achievement hits home for me. The biggest highlight: we *did not* train a model specifically for IOI. Our IMO gold model actually set a new state of the art in our internal competitive programming evals. Reasoning generalizes!
