Everyone keeps comparing $MON to $SOL to justify a similar pump. Here’s the real comparison, with full transparency: Solana TGE (March 2020): • Price: $0.22 • Context: Early bull run, very few L1 competitors • Culture: Strong and united community • Tokenomics: Ecosystem 38.89%, Team+Foundation 25%, VCs ~37% • Performance: $0.22 → $1 end of 2020 → ATH $260 (Sept 2021) A perfect timing in a fresh bull market. MONAD TGE (Nov 2025): • Coinbase ICO: $0.025 (FDV $2.5B) • Listing price: ~$0.05 (initial peak) • Current price: $0.02718 (–46% from peak, –27% in 24h) • Context: Oversaturated L1 market, end of cycle • Culture: Chaotic, KOLs > community • Tokenomics: Ecosystem 38.5%, Team 27%, Investors 20% • Circulation: Only 10.8% → 89% unlocks coming • Performance: Continuous dump since listing Macro context is completely opposite. Why the comparison is misleading: 1.Similar tokenomics on paper, but totally different in practice. Solana had a meaningful circulating supply from day one. Monad only has 10.8% circulating = 89.2% unlocks coming = guaranteed sell pressure ahead. 2.Macro timing is the opposite. Solana launched at the start of a bull run with almost no L1 competitors. Monad is launching late 2025 in a saturated L1 market. 3.Misaligned culture. Like I said yesterday, Monad’s issue isn’t the tech; the tech works perfectly. The problem is the human side: weak marketing, chaotic community management and a completely misaligned culture. A project that prioritizes KOLs over its core community. 4.FDV already inflated. Monad launches with a $2.5B FDV, while Solana started far more modest. This is why I think comparing Monad to Solana isn’t accurate. The two contexts are fundamentally different, and circulating misleading narratives doesn’t help anyone understand the reality of the situation. A large part of KOLs and major accounts may not be fully aligned yet with mainnet conditions. The transition from testnet environments to mainnet naturally requires more caution and deeper analysis. Monad has the technical capacity to grow and attract a strong user base if the long term vision evolves accordingly. At the same time, it would be beneficial for the ecosystem if opinions were based on thorough research rather than quick reactions or engagement driven posts.
