@Mike_Arson @MxVivianWulf Lol this is a very American response. Having Irish ancestors from the 1800s doesn’t make you Irish. Speaking as an English person who’s 50% Irish, you can be proud of your roots without claiming a culture you weren’t raised in.

@MxVivianWulf Our Irish have been here since the 1850s. Of course they don’t personally know there relative from 1855. And yet they are still ethnically Irish. In fact, America has more Irish people than Ireland does.

What's the term for an American who's like... a weeb for Ireland? Like there are so many yankoids that actually know jacksht about Ireland and think it's all leprechauns, four leafed clovers and this sht. So many who claim Irish heritage but have never known an Irish relative.
The Conservative Alternative@OldeWorldOrder

In some cultures, women get down on all fours & twerk while throwing up gang signs. In Irish culture, women dance through the forest like angels. WE. ARE. NOT. THE. SAME.

@Quasicodo It feels like millennials are sympathetic to younger generations but many of the older generations are not. I guess we’ve lived through things getting worse. Some older generations did well in a different world and still think it comes down to effort.

@char_bone today i decided that is what defines a generation...it is truly an inability to communicate effectively between two sequential groups of people...

It’s frustrating watching younger people struggle in a completely different world, while being given advice from a reality that doesn’t exist anymore.

e.g. “Spend a full day on each job application.” In a world of AI and mass competition… yeah, that’s not realistic anymore.

NATO is a defence pact only. If the US was attacked NATO would provide unwavering assistance. NATO is not your reserve military to draw on when you make unilateral decisions to wage wars around the world. Poorly planned and illegal wars. Not to mention that you have been insulting and harassing your allies for the last 12 months.

@oaksandlions I read that the red on their chests gets deeper as they mature. Younger robins have lighter red/redish orange & older ones have deep red.

Oaks And Lions 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧
Native to Britain and found across gardens, hedgerows, woodlands and parks, it has become a familiar part of everyday life, especially in autumn and winter. A few facts about the robin: - Despite its small size, robins are fiercely territorial and will boldly defend their patch. - They often follow gardeners because turned soil reveals worms and insects. - The robin became linked with Christmas in Victorian Britain, which helped make it one of the nation’s most recognisable birds. - Unlike many birds, both male and female robins sing, especially during the winter months. A small native bird, but a very British presence.

A little project I’m working on - “The Starlings of Birmingham market.” These cheerful little birds are full of life. Before the markets disappear I’m documenting them whenever I get a chance.

@DiBrander It's incredibly sad because I think lots of young guys could do with positive role models but instead they get these toxic guys that only care about themselves & hate women.

The Inside The Manosphere doc on Netflix is an eye-opener. Louis Theroux captured the essence of these jerks perfectly. When they’re under someone else’s spotlight, they’re exposed for what they really are: Disgusting, arrogant, spineless dickheads who don’t believe the shit they are peddling. 1/3

George wasn't happy that I was cleaning the feeders so I had to bring him a tub of mealworms. It's now been a year since we became friends 🥰

Robin collecting mealworms for his babies. So excited to see the little ones at my feeders again soon. Although they also give me anxiety because they're so vulnerable and cats are a pain.

You’re all wasting your 20s by not having roommates, I’m tellin ya. Those were great foundational memories for me. I don’t get why people think having your own apartment by 24 is normal? When I was 24, I didn’t know a single person who didn’t either have roommates or co-habitated with a significant other. Everyone needs a roommate era!
Tekee@Tekeee

Rent for one bedroom is $1,700. That means you need over $4,600 a month just to qualify. Show me the 24 year old making $71,000 a year for a starter apartment. I’ll wait

@steezy10_ Oh no way, UK is far stricter with points, etc. Really easy to accidentally get points here because they have cameras everywhere. Husband is from Ireland so have experience of both.

I raise you Ireland. You get to wait 3-6 months to sit for the test If you are lucky to pass your driving test and default you get penalty points that stays 3 years on your record and if you cause accident due to negligence or breaking the rules you could lose your license for life and go to prison
Emmanuel DVM 👨‍⚕️@McCartney000

Apparently the UK driving license is the hardest to get in the world, explains why their are fewer accidents on the road
