No investigation. Carry on, patriots.”   Those are our tax dollars being used for a juvenile, narcissistic stunt.

#TrumpIsUnfitForOffice     #wtpBLUE   WE THE PEOPLE    wtp3052   The death of Nurul Amin Shah, a nearly blind 56-year-old Rohingya refugee from Myanmar who was left in the cold and the dark by immigration agents in the parking lot of a closed restaurant in Buffalo, has been ruled to be a homicide on March 31.  Department of Homeland Security agents dumped him in the cold, without notifying his family.  He spoke no English and was helpless.  The coroner said the cause of death was “complications of a perforated duodenal ulcer precipitated by hypothermia and dehydration”, and ruled the manner of death a homicide.

And then there are the people being killed during apprehension.   With Trump, the cruelty is the point and the more people who suffer and die in the system, the better.  Under previous administrations, the number of people in detention has been mitigated by enrolling detainees in "Alternatives for Detention" efforts, scheduling regular check-ins with ICE, and mandating the use of ankle monitors.  In contrast, the Trump and Stephen Miller administration has insisted on mandatory detention for undocumented immigrants, and even for those who are in the process of obtaining legal status.  Mortality rates in ICE custody have risen from one death per 100,000 admissions in 2022, to seven deaths per 100,000 admissions in 2025, and in just the first ten weeks of 2026, the rate is currently at 11 deaths per 100,000 admissions.

The DOJ mishandled the release of the Epstein Files, leaving millions of pages withheld, while at the same time with redaction errors exposing survivors’ identities. #TrumpIsUnfitForOffice #wtpBLUE    WE THE PEOPLE   Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, along with the Democratic National Committee, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, and the Democratic Governors Association have sued to challenge Trump’s executive order to limit voting by mail ahead of the midterm elections.  Democrats contend that the executive order violates the First, Fourth, Fifth, and Tenth Amendments, and also that the Postal Service is being asked to go beyond its jurisdiction in building a list of eligible absentee voters.   Trump’s order directs the Postal Service to withhold ballots from voters not on a federally approved list, and strips federal funding from any state that refuses to comply. Trump’s executive order also directs the attorney general to investigate anyone who wrongfully distributes mail-in ballots.    This is nothing but another Trump attempt to suppress the vote.

#TrumpIsUnfitForOffice     #wtpBLUE    WE THE PEOPLE   wtp3049   The National Endowment for the Humanities has funded American history, culture, and education initiatives since 1965, and last year, two DOGE political appointees—Justin Fox and Nathan Cavanaugh—gutted it in 22 days.  $100 million in humanities grants were wiped out because they fed grant descriptions into ChatGPT and asked it to flag anything it deems as “DEI.”    Organizations sued over the cuts, leading to Fox and Cavanaugh being forced to testify.  In their depositions, Fox couldn’t define DEI and Cavanaugh admitted their actions never reduced the federal deficit.  Their deposition videos are available on the internet and are so disgraceful that DOJ ran to the court demanding that the videos be pulled down.   Colleen McMahon, a U.S. District Judge, rejected DOJ’s attempt to take down the videos, ruling the government couldn’t prove “particularized harm” sufficient to override the public’s right to see what its employees did in office.
