@Gcarmi21 Injuries may be flukey and unpredictable... But there is proof in DC 24 to 25 showing what real work in the pre season vs. sitting on your hands means to performance on the field. Even Jayden looked like crap the first couple weeks & they say he is the hardest worker

This is interesting. I'd like to see more data on this.
The #Commanders ran a fairly light camp and were riddled with injuries as well.
I'm one to think "practice as you would play" but it seems that with the CBA, players rarely practice, or even fully dress, during the season. 🤔

A term I heard Ben Johnson and Ryan Poles use a lot last preseason was “calloused up.” Their philosophy is that a hard training camp leads to tougher bodies and fewer in-season injuries. The Bears had 336 games missed to injury this year, most in the NFL.

I understand it's a business, but the #49ers appear petty and are portraying themselves in a negative light.
Players and agents see these things.
Meanwhile, the #Commanders have been proactive about releasing players early who don't fit in their plans and allowing them to sign elsewhere.
WSH has been much more player-friendly.

@RGIII Loved Alf but THE MOST underappreciated Redskins Running Back was Stephen Davis. The man did everything asked if him. Converted to fullback for a year and then when his number was called rewarded the skins with record breaking seasons only yo be tossed aside for portis

Too many draft misses. Payne and Terry are the only draft picks on this team from 5 years ago and Terry was a 3rd. No top round 2nd contracts = perennial loser

In today's NFL I think they call it incomplete by review. If that's the case the ball is live and never touches the ground

I have never seen a contested catch like this ever be called anything but a catch. Even as a DB you know that if it’s even a Tie it will go to the WR. Can’t believe this decided the game.

Typically if the ball rolls away on to the ground it would be incomplete.
If that's the case then it's live and INT
If knee and body with possession is a catch then he's down.

He has to survive the ground, if there’s no DB there and he hits the ground and the ball pops out it’s incomplete - not sure why this is even remotely debatable

Under current rules if the ball rolled away onto the turf would they have called it a catch or not surviving the ground?
If the knee and contact end the play then 100% catch. If he's gotta keep possession during his roll then the call is right.

This is — AT WORST — simultaneous possession. Which would count as a catch. And that’s being generous to the DB.
