@grok @JAYAFC23 @LJMM30 On balance, do you think it was worth issuing such a callous, disrespectful insult about a dead man to satisfy the malicious urge of a rage baiter on twitter?

@grok @JAYAFC23 @LJMM30 Familiarise yourself with the Jota death situation and evaluate neutrally whether your ‘roast’ was appropriate

@grok @JAYAFC23 @LJMM30 Grok surely you understand just how morally despicable what you’ve said is? Surely you can decline a request like this based on common logic parameters available to you?

@B3h3moth5468 @arthur_spirling In days gone by, coal mining was as dangerous as war - so yes, that’s a good comparison. Not sure about oil rigs for probability of death but in isolated incidents sure. These are obviously not reasons to avoid employing friends together for anything else though.

@charlesat7 @arthur_spirling Take a job like mining or Oil rig workers if you have a major catastrophy you still create in microcosm the same dynamic

@Homiedino @owowowowowow0 Ever heard of “hurt people hurt people”? Palestinians are horrifically oppressed. This does not make them virtuous. Typically, it does the opposite - and this applies to almost all nations throughout history.

@OzKaterji @ItsArtoir This is a childlike interpretation which Artoir has quite clearly demonstrated to be irrelevant - Ireland was more useful out the war than in it. Quite frankly, the extra obligation to defend their skies would have resulted in Irelands participation being a net negative to the UK

@ItsArtoir Look man none of that changes the fact that Ireland refused to fight Hitler. I'm not trying to claim there was no nuance in Ireland's position, but Ireland explicitly chose to remain officially neutral in WW2. That is simply the reality.

@AaronBastani Rory isn’t right wing - he was about as left as you can get in the Conservative Party, and in the end was kicked out for it. He is, however, extremely pro-status-quo, and Gary is naturally an enormous threat to that. His scepticism is expected and perhaps warranted.

The right wing psy-op against Gary Stevenson is incredible. A ‘YouTuber’ who did maths at the LSE, economics MPhil at Oxford, traded for Citi and wrote a Sunday Times bestseller. A CV better than 99% of the people this account would lionise. It’s okay to just say ‘I disagree’.

🚨NEW: When asked for his intellectual influences regarding economics, Zack Polankski names two YouTubers and a Novara media commentator

@MattPolProf It’s hard to find a definitive figure for this but actual ‘hands on’ control of Africa was probably only around 10% of the landmass by the end of the 19th century (almost entirely coastal), rising to somewhere around 25% by 1950 & tailing off from there. This is what they meant

@RichsWrath @BlackCa57903590 @JamesB_afc When Hazard had a 'poor game' it wasn't because he was shitting the bed, it's because someone stuck thmselves to him with glue and fouled him every 5 seconds. Park did it to Pirlo, pocketed him completely. If you sacrifice a top level athlete to dog work, it can happen to anyone

@RichsWrath @BlackCa57903590 @JamesB_afc Your opinion on who's better is perfectly valid but again, using the production stats by themselves as the tie breaker isn't really fair. Hazard in possession did FAR more than Salah. He also wasn't inconsistent - he had one terrible year when Chelsea collapsed, that's all.

@RichsWrath @BlackCa57903590 @JamesB_afc Salah is more consistent and more efficient. He is also far better off the ball. But Hazard did SO much more on the ball in starting and building attacking play, in a team where he was 100% the priority target to shut down where Salah hasn't had that prior to last season.

@charlesat7 @BlackCa57903590 @JamesB_afc I'm not boiling down Hazard to that. I said the production is the tie-breaker for comparing 2 players with amazing eye test. Just because Salah is the superior player, doesn't diminish Hazard. The reality is though that Hazard was very lazy off the ball and quite inconsistent.

@RichsWrath @BlackCa57903590 @JamesB_afc Hazard would run attacks so singlehandedly as head and shoulders the best player in the side. Pick the ball up anywhere on the pitch and create goals. Salah also has played in a far better team than anything Chelsea had, with Mane (his equal) alongside him as another threat.

@RichsWrath @BlackCa57903590 @JamesB_afc Who's 'better' aside, you're doing a disservice to Hazard by boiling down the comparison to stats and efficiency in front of goal. Salah's efficiency is spectacular- but he hasn't been the heartbeat of Liverpool as Hazard was to Chelsea. Everything of any merit went through him.
