Spurs guard Dylan Harper, on Julian Champagnie’s final shot in a Game 1 loss to the Timberwolves: “We got a great shot. I'm taking that shot 10 out of 10 times. The best shooter on the team wide open? You can’t ask for a better shot. So we just have to live with it.”

@Spurs_Nation I see what people been tryna say about this team now. They are strong but they lack tenacity and ferociousness required to stand as the strongest. All this love shit won’t get you anywhere. Anybody but Wemby or fox shoot the ball when it’s a shot to win you posed to be mad

@dmweisberger @JoshuaTCharles @RobertKennedyJr An acquaintance of mine came back with the exact same story as yours. No acid reflux No digestive issues No weight gain (if anything he felt more comfortable in his clothes) (probably because of absence of bloated stomach)

I just spent 2 incredible weeks in Italy and it is so frustrating to come back to the U.S… How is it possible @RobertKennedyJr that the Italian food supply is so vastly superior. I literally ate bread at every meal, dessert multiple times per day, and generally ate way more than I do in the U.S. Not once did I have acid reflux. Not one headache, no digestive problems, and I didn’t gain any weight. If I ate the same way in the U.S. (I used to at times) I would have gone through a full bottle of Tums and Advil just to get through the day… WHY does the U.S. allow glyphosate in wheat, high fructose corn syrup in food and who knows what in our milk products? The difference in quality of life in Italy vs the U.S. is staggering from their common sense (anti corporate) food regulation. WHY aren’t more people upset about this? The U.S. is the richest country in the world and we eat like one of the poorest.

I don’t think anyone’s ready for how much the boomers have propped up the Catholic Church financially. I know this medium is largely anti-boomer, but the day will come when the priests they make fun of for being too liberal are not there to run to the hospital. The day will come when the boomer parishioners aren’t there generously donating and volunteering. Although many of these Catholic experts only want the people they like in church, these boomers are good people who do good things and we will miss them. The Younger generation excels at telling us how we should be doing things, but as a general rule, don’t help much financially or in volunteering. Sincerely, A Gen X priest

I know this is about Protestant denoms, but I gotta think my Catholic church in the US is going to see similarly dramatic cliff dynamics. I wonder if @ryanburge has that on his hard drive too?
Ryan Burge 📊@ryanburge

A lot of folks assume that many Protestant denominations will just slowly decline over the next few decades. That's not what is going to happen. The Boomers are propping most of them up right now. When they age out, it's gonna get bad. Really fast. No one is ready.
