@AllisonPearson You can admire the NHS for what it did/does and also recognise where negligence has happened and ask to be compensated for that. One does not cancel out the other. I have no allegiance to her in any way but am someone who values the NHS and has also suffered at its negligence.

In 2020, Angela Rayner paid tribute to the wonderful NHS for her “miracle baby”. She forgot to mention that in a 2020 legal settlement with the NHS for alleged negligent care of the baby she received hundreds of thousands of pounds of taxpayers’ money.

I’m sorry. My tweet about C-section anatomy, while educational in intent, has caused offence, especially to those with history of adverse experiences during labour. As a man who would never have to personally face this hardship, I had no right to comment. I don’t have an anti-Caesarian sentiment and it was not my intention to scaremonger - women have the right to choose and I only wish them the best. I have learnt much from all your comments which have also opened my eyes to the risks of vaginal delivery and practice outside the UK. My tweet has been naive, insensitively timed in light of maternity scandals and strayed outside my field. I will try and do better. To those who have lost and all those offended, I am sorry. To future parents, I wish you a lifetime of happiness whichever delivery option you choose, in the same way that the delivery of our 2 girls have blessed our lives.

Just found an old spreadsheet I made to rotate care of mum with my brother & sister. I had named the file ‘best mama ever.’We never got to use it as she went to hospice way before. I wonder if one day it will feel real to me that she’s gone because my brain still can’t accept it.

@criminographer It’s amazing you did this &that he saw Isabelle -I am more than sure he will cherish that in years to come and that it will help him heal. So many hide it away from children which I understand-but it is a gift you were able to support him to do what he wanted to in that moment xx

We then asked if he wanted to see her to say goodbye, and he chose to. He was very sad when he saw her and said he doesn't have a friend to play with anymore at home. We reassured him that he has us and his sister and we will play with him, and then he said she just looks asleep.

So many of you have kindly asked about F. Isabelle just loved to be with him, and we spent equal time listening to the bickering and the giggling. He is missing his best friend & beloved sister so much, but he is coping remarkably well. I wish I could take away the pain for him.
