Major Bashar Mohammed was a brave and dedicated officer of the Nigerian Army. He was reportedly killed during a deadly ambush by terrorists in Damasak, Borno State. Nine soldiers lost their lives in the attack, while eight managed to return to base. Some others are still missing. Major Bashar was declared missing in action, and for days his family and colleagues waited with hope and prayers. His body was later recovered, confirming the painful reality of his sacrifice. He served Nigeria with courage and paid the ultimate price in the line of duty. May the Almighty forgive his shortcomings, grant him eternal rest, and comfort the family and loved ones he left behind. May his sacrifice never be forgotten.

Definitely he is not the youngest because he is a friend and we graduate from the same university. I graduated in 2005 (20 years ago) while he graduated after me because his course is a 5 years programme, his age should roughly be around 44-46 yrs now. Congratulations Prof Ridwan
