@bitcoinmalaya Did the university oversell the training opportunity in UK post 2019 to these international students? The caveat on training opportunities in the UK is still on NUMED website. These international students knew the risk that government policy can change.

@bitcoinmalaya NUMED grads who are Malaysians are still able to get UK GMC recognition and MMC recognition by training in certain approved hospitals in Malaysia. The issue is the number of international graduates in NUMED has increased since 2019 - probably with an eye on training in the UK

UK degrees are insanely expensive for most Malaysians as someone who actually holds UK degrees + professional qualifications, I can say they do deliver certain standards and quality but with this new policy wall, parents are going to think twice before dropping a fortune Q: Would you spend half a million on a UK degree for your kids?

@fmtoday The headline is misleading. The Prioritisation Bill prioritises UK Medical Graduates over international medical graduates (IMGs). This is no different than what many countries around the world are doing including Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, HK, etc.
