@zorabet_ challenging to happen! And yet they were about to get a BABY. The whole councilwoman thing is a different thing, completely independent of how the courts/system clearly do see them as fit foster/adoptive parents! Ortiz had a VENDETTA and she was super powerful 🤦🏻‍♀️

@zorabet_ People acting like they didn't foster Nia successfully and the storyline showed the beauty of reunification. And they literally started FOSTERING mara in her debut episode? They initially wanted an infant (the baby whose grandmother changed her mind) which is also much more

They had no problem fostering lol. Nia was reunified, which is the goal, they fostered with no issue for years. They adopted Denny with no issue! A targeted attack made Mara hard. They had a normal experience for non-kinship fosters.
