It was an honor to be asked to pray over @realDonaldTrump one month before winning the election as our 47th President. Let’s rally together and continue to pray for our nation, a nation that belongs to God.

One of my greatest joys is traveling across California and seeing people encounter the love of Jesus Christ and experience transformed lives. Real change begins when hearts are changed. As Governor, my mission is simple: to serve the people of California — not political elites. Californians are tired of rising costs, growing crime, homelessness, failing leadership, and policies that make it harder to raise a family and pursue the American Dream. I believe we can restore safer streets, lower costs, stronger families, parental rights, and economic opportunity. But we must also recognize something deeper: the crisis in California is not just political — it is spiritual. Laws alone cannot heal what is happening in the hearts of people. We need both revival and reformation. I’m running to bring faith, freedom, common sense, and responsible leadership back to California. The best is yet to come for our state. This election, don’t just vote for a party. Vote for your values. 🗳️Write in “Che Ahn” for Governor in the California primary election.

This Is A Fight For California’s Future. I’m deeply grateful for the overwhelming support from our church family and communities across California. Your prayers, encouragement, and belief in this movement have strengthened me and reminded me why this fight matters. Many politicians claim they stand for faith, family, and biblical values — but when given the opportunity to publicly defend those convictions by signing the Families First Pledge, many refused. I proudly signed it. Because leadership is not about saying the right things during election season. It’s about having the courage to stand for truth when it costs something. California families are tired of leaders who compromise their values while crime rises, families struggle, and children are being targeted by radical ideologies. It’s time to restore righteousness, common sense, and moral clarity in our state. “When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan.” — Proverbs 29:2 I still believe the best is yet to come for California. ✍🏻Write in CHE AHN in this upcoming California primary election.

America Is Free Because Brave Men and Women Paid the Ultimate Price. On Memorial Day, we remember the men and women who gave their lives so that America could remain free. Freedom is personal to me. I was born in South Korea after the war, and my family came to America seeking faith, freedom, and a better future. My father, a Korean Southern Baptist pastor in North America, taught me that liberty is a gift from God — and a responsibility we must steward with gratitude. Our family story was not perfect, but through prayer, forgiveness, and the grace of Jesus Christ, God brought healing and reconciliation. That is the beauty of America: a nation where faith can flourish, families can be restored, and freedom can be passed to the next generation. Today, we honor the fallen, pray for their families, and give thanks for the sacrifice that made our freedom possible. May God bless our Gold Star families, our military, and the United States of America. #MemorialDay #HonorTheFallen #FaithFamilyFreedom #CaliforniaFirst

Yesterday, the Secretary of State officially released the certified list of write-in candidates — and I’m officially a certified write-in candidate for Governor of California. My name will not appear on the ballot, so you must physically write in “Che Ahn” for your vote to count. The good news? Your write-in vote carries the exact same weight as any other vote. California deserves safer streets, lower costs, stronger families, and leadership rooted in faith, freedom, and common sense. This election, vote your values. If you’re tired of gender ideology being pushed in schools… If you want to walk safely through Downtown Los Angeles without fear of crime, drugs, needles, or human waste on the streets… If you believe California should be a place where families and entrepreneurs can still live the American Dream without crushing taxes and overregulation… The choice is clear. While Sacramento politicians continue to prioritize bureaucracy and radical agendas, I will fight to restore common sense to California. I will restore parental rights. I will fully fund and support law enforcement. I will deregulate California, cut red tape, and create an environment where businesses and families can thrive again. Today, the California Secretary of State officially released the certified list of write-in candidates. You now have a choice. ✍️Write in “Che Ahn” for Governor of California.

Yes, I believe the Gospel is about rediscovering our identity and purpose. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:17 that when we are in Christ, we become a new creation. The old has passed away, and the new has come. That means our past no longer has to define us. We can only do so much trying to “fix” ourselves through self-help, new habits, or learning new skills. Those things can help, but they don’t always deal with the root issue — identity. Many people struggling with addiction, homelessness, or brokenness begin to believe the lie that their failures are who they are. “I’m an addict.” “I’m worthless.” “I’ll never change.” But the Gospel breaks that cycle by restoring our understanding of who we are and why we were created. We have to go back to our Creator — the One who gave us life, dignity, and purpose in the first place. It’s like trying to assemble furniture without the manual. The Bible is our manual for life. Scripture also talks about being transformed by the renewing of our minds. We no longer have to identify with our past mistakes. In Christ, we are made new. When I came to know Jesus, I realized my worth was no longer based on what I did or what I had done. My identity was no longer in my failures, but in who God says I am. That brought real freedom into my life. That’s why partnering with faith-based organizations matters. They don’t just treat symptoms — they help restore people from the inside out. I personally know pastors today who were once addicted to drugs, went through Teen Challenge, encountered Christ, and are now thriving, leading ministries, and helping others find freedom too. Transformation is possible. I’ve lived it, and I’ve seen it happen in countless others.

Encouraged by the growing support from the Chinese community across California. I recently sat down with one of California’s leading Chinese faith-based media outlets to discuss: • Why I’m running as a write-in candidate • The truth behind my ballot situation • My vision for a safer, freer, and more affordable California We are less than 2 weeks away. @che_ahn @spencerpratt Are you saying that the gospel is about rediscovering identity and purpose? How exactly does that work? Can you elaborate?

If that addict on your street were your own son, what would you do? That is the defining question that guides my 5 step plan to fix the homelessness problem in LA. We *must* end this evil racket of corrupt politicians and NGOs who profit off the misery of these poor souls. They launder money and feed them more drugs, so they can keep their customers locked in this hell on our streets. We have a moral obligation from God to help them and make our city safe and clean for everyone. Karen Bass and Nithya Raman have forsaken this city. Time for real leadership. Time for real compassion.

@che_ahn @spencerpratt AMEN. I dropped off my sister at Adult and Teen Challenge twice. She ended up living with them for two years but now she works full time and lives with me! I thank God that we can worship, pray, cook and work out together now!

Step 6: Partner with faith-based organizations. I believe real rehabilitation begins when people rediscover purpose, responsibility, dignity, and faith. True transformation doesn’t just happen through programs — it happens when lives are changed from the inside out through the Gospel. I know this personally because I lived it myself. I was once addicted to drugs and involved in pushing drugs, but Jesus Christ completely transformed my life. We cannot solve a spiritual and moral crisis with endless government programs and temporary band-aid solutions. Common sense policies matter, but what we are ultimately facing is deeper than politics — it is a spiritual and ideological crisis. That’s why we need leaders willing to confront the root issue, not just manage the symptoms. Real compassion means helping people break free, restore their dignity, and rebuild their lives. The Gospel is still the greatest force for transformation, and I believe it is key to restoring California.

MacArthur Park Update: Christopher Barret Johnson, a 42-year-old Culver City resident who works for the nonprofit People Assisting the Homeless (PATH), which distributes syringes to drug users at L.A.’s MacArthur Park and elsewhere, was arrested today on a federal criminal complaint charging him with possession with intent to distribute fentanyl. On May 5, law enforcement pulled Johnson over near MacArthur Park after he abruptly made a U-turn in front of them in his BMW. LAPD officers saw methamphetamine in a plastic baggie in plain view in Johnson’s car. Additional searches of Johnson’s person and his BMW resulted in the seizure of at least 142 grams of fentanyl and nearly 46 grams of methamphetamine. If convicted, Johnson faces a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in federal prison and a maximum of 40 years. His initial appearance is expected tomorrow afternoon at the Roybal Federal Building in DTLA. Residents and businesses in MacArthur Park and elsewhere have long complained about the wisdom of distributing syringes to homeless drug addicts where law-abiding citizens live and work. They call these policies “harm reduction.” I consider them “harm enabling.” Giving drug-addicted users needles to shoot up meth and fentanyl is never a good idea.

We have millions of evangelicals in California. Many aren’t registered, and many who are registered don’t vote. Your vote matters. I heard of an assembly member who won by 16 votes. Every vote counts. Righteousness exalts a nation (Proverbs 14:34). We need righteousness in Sacramento instead of corruption.

You Can’t Legislate a Healthy Culture Rather than focusing only on legislation, I emphasize cultural transformation. Lasting change will not come merely from political victories but from shifting hearts and minds. California must rediscover a culture that values life, responsibility, and family. My approach includes: -Encouraging faith-based and community involvement -Promoting adoption and foster care support -Strengthening family-centered policies -Restoring moral clarity in leadership As someone who has led large faith communities for decades, I believe that when communities rally around women and families instead of isolating them, real change happens. This is because real change begins at the grassroots level.
