No Tribe In Nigeria Will Survive What The Igbos Have Gone Through In Nigeria. Fact! In 1970, we were told it was a No Victor No Vanquished declaration. We put down our arms and left the trenches, with mixed feelings of excitement, nervousness and fear, we headed to the houses we built, we were told they are Abandoned Properties, and have been shared as spoils of war. With disappointment in our hearts, we headed to the banks, so we could withdraw our money and savings to salvage our lives, and we were handed only 20 Pounds it doesn't matter if you had millions or billions in your account. With a deep sense of despair, homeless and penniless, we went straight to reclaim our jobs and positions, we were tumed away, as they ve been filled up with little or no skilled personnel. We were then homeless, penniless and jobless. We were greeted with Indigenization Policy - govemment companies and assets were sold to themselves, because we couldn't afford to compete financially due to the 20 Pounds policy. We were still trying to figure out what was going on, and then there came the Quota System policy, Exclusive Economic Lists. Federal Character. ELD States etc. We were comered from every angle. But like seeds, perhaps they didn't know the dangers of burying us, we've germinated and have grown stronger and better, because we are Igbos. We are children of the Sun, we've risen again, yes we are IGBO. They Wanted To Wipe Us Out But They Failed. Over 5 Million Igbos Were Massacred And At The End Of The Genocidal War Against Ndi Igbo. Yet, Few Years After The Civil War, Igbo’s Came Out On Top In Nigeria. Igbos Got Back Everything They Lost In Hundredfold Through Hard-work, Steadfastness And Dedication. Today, Some People Are Still Hating And Jealous Of The Igbos In Nigeria And Trying To Shut Us Down Again Even After Everything The Igbos Have Gone Through.
