Heathrow Airport had no diesel generator backup. It was removed as part of their drive to net zero.
Dubai Airport and many military bases do have diesel generators and their aircraft would have continued flying.
The truth about this disaster is being withheld.

What I said over 2 years ago was that Ukraine should seek peace or suffer severe loss of life for no gains.
The latter was Zelensky’s choice.
Now, he wants to do that again.

JD Vance is right about Europe’s values eroding, but that doesn’t make Trump’s appeasement of Russia any less wrong. Ukraine is fighting for the very values Vance describes: free speech, democracy, equality under the law.
