Ethel Kennedy raised 11 children while pushing the Kennedy family’s political and social causes. Betty Shabazz, who was there when Malcolm X was killed, raised their 6 daughters, got her doctorate, became a prominent activist, and spent her life protecting his legacy. Elisabeth Elliot stayed in the jungle with the tribe that murdered her husband and kept doing missionary work. Some women are just built different. They throw themselves into their husband’s cause instead of falling apart. It’s called “immersion” and is common in grief. You might not like it, but you don’t matter. That woman will protect and continue her husband’s legacy, no matter how awful you people are.

It's because of this chain of reasoning: 1. Official narratives have been wrong before. 2. Therefore, official narratives can never be trusted. 3. "Tyler Robinson did it" is the official narrative. 4. Therefore, any other explanation is better, no matter how baseless or speculative. Obviously, 2 doesn't follow from 1, even though 1 is true. But people have convinced themselves that it does follow, so no amount of evidence supporting the "official narrative" will ever change their minds. They skipped rational skepticism and went straight to irrational skepticism, where conspiracy is the only available option.

For a change of pace… The church my family has been attending for the past couple years isn’t something I’m happy with. The pastor has fully embraced “prosperity preaching” and spends entire sermons clubbing you over the head to tithe. I seriously feel like he’s a bad month away from his own “lock the doors” moment. His wife, the “co-pastor,” literally turned her back on me when I was going through a rough period, both personally and professionally. Honestly, growing up, I never had a good church relationship. There was a LOT of bad disguised as good. The older I get, the more I realize how toxic that environment was. For my little girl, I want her to grow up in faith. I want her to be a true believer in the Word. I want her to enjoy Christ and a relationship with Him. I only hope we can find a really good church in Florida that can nurture all of it. Y’all pray for my family and I, please.

More conservatives are law enforcement, fire fighters, and military than liberals. While you’re patting yourself on the back for acknowledging some mentally anguished child’s pronouns of the day, these people are willingly stepping in harms way for someone that they’re not related to, or even know. 2. Conservatives give more to charities than liberals. Now, I’m talking actual charities, not government funded NGOs that make cash disappear like the Statue of Liberty on a David Copperfield special. From pregnancy care and foster/adoption services to homeless programs, food banks, and helping the community, conservatives do more than vote for higher taxes and more government spending. 3. Conservatives act out their empathy by doing what is right versus what feels good. What feels good is spending millions on SNAP; you voted for it so you can check off “I have empathy”. What is right is helping with limits so that people have a chance to get back on their feet while balancing concern for those people who are paying into the program and don’t want to watch their hard earned money be wasted on fraud. Liberals say the right things. They scream the loudest. They chant the hardest. But all their solutions come down to laying the burden of the solution on the shoulders of other people. That’s not empathy. Conservatives don’t often voice what we do. We don’t address both sides of the SNAP conversation because we’re focused on the fraud. We don’t talk about the homeless issues except to point out government’s failure to fix the issue. Yet we donate money and time. You’re not more empathetic. You’re just more narcissistic in trying to show off how empathetic you are.

A reason we’re in this mess is that we’ve tacitly accepted the lie that racism is the ultimate sin. Worse than rape. Worse than grooming. Worse than pedophilia. Worse than trafficking. Worse than domestic violence. Worse than incest. Worse than everything!
