@cheesepole1 @elfayz_ Yes but that’s not possible and there are spending restrictions. Chelsea investing 120 mil into one player when they have bigger issues in their squad is crazy
English

‘117m is too much’ just accept today’s market.. Players who were worth 60/70m a decade ago are worth £100m+ today, in the same way players who were worth 60/70m a decade ago were worth 30/40m two decades ago. Any good footballer in the Prem is worth 100m That’s how inflation works and that’s how the market works today. I find it boring that people just can’t accept that and I constantly see ‘how much!???? Football is dead’ 🥱🥱🥱

@__Gron__ @leftsidedprob @lilgustaffson Obviously doesn’t compare to a new nation winning the World Cup, but the FA cup is viewed as a major trophy in England and Crystal Palace winning it was a great underdog story.
English

@cheesepole1 @leftsidedprob @lilgustaffson i dont think the fa cup was the major sporting event the original tweet meant or that the scale of the upset compares to a new nation winning the World Cup
English

When was the last time an underdog won anything of note in any major team sporting event?
Sami Gold@souljagoyteller
One really boring part of the World Cup is that it seems to be engineered to make dark horse/underdog victories impossible
English

@__Gron__ @leftsidedprob @lilgustaffson They were literally an underdog though, that was what the tweet asked
English

@leftsidedprob @lilgustaffson its great for them but not that crazy, a mid table team wins a cup once in 10 years, its basically a statistical necessity

@johnmichaelw @sbsam_sam @TeleFootball You have 49 thousand tweets mate, I’d think about taking a step outdoors once in a while!

Harry Kane has accused ITV and other World Cup broadcasters of trying to create division in the England squad as he dismissed the notion of a rift
“When you are playing a game like that and to be asked a question five minutes after the final whistle, and he [Bellingham] didn’t really know what the manager has said, what do you want Jude to say?
“It is easy to try and create this division – it seems like an English mentality, an English thing to do at these major tournaments."

English

@johnmichaelw @sbsam_sam @TeleFootball Mate you haven’t got a clue about high level sport, and that’s fine!
English

@sbsam_sam @cheesepole1 @TeleFootball Well they shouldn't sign contracts where they get highly paid by making it a legal obligation.

@johnmichaelw @DrOsitaMba @TeleFootball Without listening to tuchels interview, how would Jude possibly know what he said and the context of the question? Let alone after 120 mins of an extremely high pressure situation.
English

@cheesepole1 @DrOsitaMba @TeleFootball TT was asked a benign opener. He responded with a diatribe about how terrible the players were.
Jude, after other questions, was asked to respond to "The manager wasn't happy with the performance".
The idea this was either cryptic, or out of order, is potty.
It's TTs fault.
Market Warsop, England 🇬🇧 English

@DrOsitaMba @johnmichaelw @TeleFootball You go run around for 120 minutes in a high pressure situation then as soon as it finishes I’ll come up to you and ask you some cryptic questions in hope of a dodgy response for clicks. That’s what people are saying, it’s not just a random question is it you melt.
English

@johnmichaelw @TeleFootball Gabriel Clarke and ITV committed the crime of asking questions 🤣
English

@johnmichaelw @TeleFootball Did you not read what Kane said? 5 mins after a game like that asked a question out of context what do you want him to say?
English

@TeleFootball Absolute nonsense. Tuchel was deflecting blame onto the players for his own shocking mistakes, Bellingham clearly wasn't having his bullshit. None of that is the media's fault, it's Tuchel's.

@lfcmike__ Same, I was in a pub in York and when he scored every one went nuts except me and a Scottish lad 😂

@hiddenuser264 @OfficialC98 @SWWRLFCx @RoodMurat @NealGardner_ That’s not definitive proof is it you melt

The audacity to make this about Messi and Argentina when, BY FAR, the biggest officiating controversy from last night came in England’s favour 😂
Theo Baker@theobaker_
This is crazy, may as well give Messi another World Cup

@fadisalibi @surreycricket This wicket itself was carnage tho

@surreycricket Hardly a ‘carnage’ if we still have another 9 out of 10 to take

@cheesepole1 @Empty_With_You @The_Forty_Four I’m not defending anyone. I’m defending the legal process.

@cheesepole1 @AlanBrown76ix5 @Empty_With_You @The_Forty_Four You shouldn’t just believe allegations as soon as you hear them.
English

@Empty_With_You @The_Forty_Four Will they do the same with Hakimi if they play Morocco or Ito when they play Japan?
