@RaphealDavis3 It’s already pricing out the middle class. The pay to play model that we have is pricing out working class and poor folks. Combine that with the cost to attending sporting events at all levels, and sports in this country is becoming something for the rich only.

Youth Basketball is a Middle Class Sport
Kraig Bowers@kraigbowers34
After my weekend in St. Louis, I’m convinced AAU sports is primarily driven as an excuse for suburban parents to have drinking buddies every weekend for however long a season lasts. Lots of them at our hotel this weekend. To @RaphealDavis3’s point about youth sports being priced out of budget to many, this group was joking about one parent out of the entire group having a public school child. I’m worried the opportunity to get training and quality recruitment opportunities is going to be priced out of many family budgets.

@kraigbowers34 The real battle between Indiana and Nebraska is for popcorn supremacy.

To be fair, the battle of best yields of corn per acre is only a battle between Iowa and Illinois. Nebraska is pretty comfortably in 3rd and with higher inputs than some states below them due to irrigation needs.

@FrankKhalidUK If ownership doesn’t care then why should I care?

@joshhart The guys in charge know more about spreadsheets than they do soccer.

@RaphealDavis3 Purdue alum here, this is also true for the big schools too. I may or may not have seen it during my time in West Lafayette.

@FrankKhalidUK Carragher. I’ve never seen anyone so confident in their ignorance.

@FrankKhalidUK It doesn’t matter. We could poach Pep from City and results would still be the same.

@GameDayGabi About as good of a path to the Elite 8 as you can get. That said, there are no easy ones. Boiler up!

@RaphealDavis3 It’s also interesting when the winning starts some “fans” get real quiet. Did they ever really support the team, or do they just like to complain?

@lady_valor_07 Always buy good quality shoes even if there are cheaper options available. Your ankles, knees, hips, and back will thank you later in life.

@JJWatt 0%. I’m done playing this game. I tip well at sit-down restaurants, but when there is minimal service, and the staff isn’t being paid below minimum wage, then I’m not tipping.

Genuine question on a restaurant situation:
You walk up to a counter to order.
You find your own table and seat yourself.
If you order coffee, they hand you a cup and you go fill it up yourself.
If you order food, they hand you a buzzer and when it goes off, you go pick it up yourself.
The iPad has a “20%, 25%, 30%, Other” tip option, with 20% already preselected.
What’s your move?
