My first year of college I suffered a brain injury playing soccer. The side effects forced me to drop out of college, and I let myself believe I couldn’t handle an intellectually challenging career. 12 years later, learning to code has allowed me to dream big again! #100devs

@SashaVining @sanity_io Yes! It’s very simple, my client is not tech savvy, so that was important. You can also customize the “studio” as well if the client wants something different than the out-of-box experience

Had a rough start today. Someone I met at a tech conference invited me for “breakfast and code” only to meet me with with hostility for a public argument at my local coffee shop Shit like this makes me want to close off to meeting new ppl.

@LadyBluenotes I went with A. But to make more actionable steps for getting the optimizations done, I created “issues” for all the things I wanted to add/fix. It makes it easier for me to have everything listed out and piece of mind that others viewing know that I plan to address those things

Taking a break from planning my next personal project to work on a website for a client. Trying out @sanity_io for the first time, and I’m really enjoying it! Definitely check it out if you are looking for a customizable headless CMS. #100devs #womenintech #buildinginpublic

@RamblingAdam What a great idea! Love that it has a retro/unique feel with the styling, and also is really practical and useful!

While networking, I'd meet new people and forget to follow up promptly. By the time I did, weeks had passed, making it awkward/difficult to recall much about them. Not an ideal way to begin forging a meaningful connection! So, I created Networky. Launching Wednesday. #100Devs

@justinbchau That’s the way I used to do it when working night shift. I would get off work at 7:30am on my last day and then stay up till that night so I was up for about 30 hours and then go to sleep. It usually reset things pretty well

Thinking about picking up some c# as I am seeing a lot of posted jobs looking for .net, especially in the healthcare space. Anyone have resources they particularly like for learning c# or .net in general? #100devs #WomenWhoCode #100daysofcode

@thesewhocan Create a profile and mess around with the platform to get used to it! After doing leetcode and codewars, the first time I used hackerrank I got tripped up since the wording of the question was different and I wasn’t formatting my answer correctly

I've got my first take home coding test to do - it's a 90 minute HackerRank test, and I think I can pick the language. (At least... I hope I can pick the language). Any general advice for completing one of these?

@AfricaKenyah What a take… if anything after having a child, I’m far more understanding of people that don’t want children 🤣

@AfricaKenyah I’ve been trying to brainstorm how to get my Herman Miller chair out of my office, though the hospital, across the street and to the parking garage without drawing attention when I leave here 🤣

@AfricaKenyah It’s such a pain. Hulu already does this for their live service, and the other day I spent 3 hours of my day off with customer support because it randomly decided my tv was not on my home network and wouldn’t let me watch anything…
