Quarter inch of rain at my place, my folks at the farm got over an inch. No hail though thank goodness

I drove from Brooks to Lethbridge late this pm. Very disappointing to see awful winds causing severe wind erosion across S AB. Emerging seedlings are getting sand blasted. Visibility was poor at times due to blowing soil. We desperately need the 15 mm rain forecast for tomorrow.

@chelsieJD @ABbugcounter Those are nymphs of Peritrechus convivus Chelsie. Can you please tell me where they are, are they damaging many plants, what's the cropping history and are they in low spots?

@TylerWist1 @ABbugcounter I found them in a field near Arran SK previous crop was faba beans, canola, canola, hay land. The land is fairly heavy wouldn’t say it was in a low spot but several areas I looked I could find them crawling around. In some areas they were damaging several plants.

Wasn’t going to post anything, but it’s a good reminder for all. My dad was in a terrible wreck yesterday, thankfully he was ok. Drill is totalled, tank is salvageable. Very innocent accident, front castor went under the drill, loaded BG 6700 didn’t stop.

@RobCrpate We are wet but not terrible. Biggest issue is the frost hasn’t come out yet hopefully those little potholes will be gone soon.
