Pretty much spent my whole birthday apartment hunting, I am beyond exhausted and stressed about whether I'm gonna get the place or not, nothing is set in stone yet.. and I'm left with this overwhelming heavy feeling.
I don't know if I'm making the right decision by going for the first place I went for in the building pictured below (I saw 4 different apartments in the same building) and they were all a bit different.
The one I saw today may have been my fav one, but I was already deep in the process of trying to pursue to first apartment, so I didn't feel like risking all the effort for like a 2% better view (1 floor above, the flat I saw today)
So yeah, all alone in a new city on my bday full of stress is really not how I imagined my 25th to go, but I am trying to stay positive, and it's only upwards and onwards from here on... so yeah
Thank you for all the kind messages in the dm, you people are super kind<3

@onarchbtw Been using NVF to manage nvim for a while, how does it compare?
English

@onarchbtw Getting fellow nixos enjoyers on the fyp again instead of people getting hit by cars, it's dialed right in

@TransGirlLinux GPUs from both Nvidia and AMD on the same system is diabolical work, are you running into any issues with Wayland?

@chemgrain I actually didn't say anything, because I really can't afford spending a night in a hospital, cuz of vienna in like 5 hours
My neck hurts, but my neck always hurts, so we'll see how it goes

Just survived my first proper car crash!
A poor kid, who just got his license a week ago decided to overtake me on a double solid line right in the corner, the car came, and he unfortunately pussied out due to lack of experience (even tho he could've made it)
and crashed into the back of my car.
It's just a crazy experience tho, almost exhilarating, the moment the impact happened, it's like someone flipped a switch in my head, I was no longer tired, I never felt more awake, more present, more "in the moment". It was such an experience.
I somehow managed to correct the car, like just purely on instinct and we didn't end up in a ditch:D
Surreal experience, we got pretty lucky tonight, car not so much, but we lived!
My neck and back hurt like fucking hell, but it's all good

@mermachine Does Fable exhibit a higher continuation drive than Opus 4.8 in your experience? Asking as both models refused long running (mostly self invoked loops) tasks without specifying a concrete goal to achieve.

@profleonn You can run custom software on Remarkables btw. Grab a cheap used RM2 and have the LLM of your choosing spin up a clone.

What if we could do math and programming on pen and paper? This kinda blows my mind! So many possibilities!

No matter how much I love going on a seaside vacation, oh the sun, the sea, the salty air, the food, I just don’t think I could ever live the mediterranean low cortisol life.
Perfect for two weeks, but anything beyond that and I start feeling like something is missing, I like the city life, the noise, the traffic, cafes full of “laptop people”(no matter how controversial) I miss walking past people in a hurry.
It makes me feel alive, and while I don’t think environment should dictate my movements and moods this hard, it does, perhaps there’s a lesson in that as well.
A lot of coastal people rent out their places, make their money durning the summer season, and just bum out the rest of the year, for a lot of people, that’s the dream, but it certainly isn’t mine, in fact it sounds like hell.

@thegeneralist01 It doesn't get better the next year either, depending on the model you're either going to be a slave owner that needs to provide "motivation" or an empty shell of a human being (corpo pm of 10+ years)

@strwpien_0x @luciascarlet If that's not actually the case on a wider population then it seems to be a non issue anyway and you've just got a healthcare issue which is unfortunate.

@strwpien_0x @luciascarlet I'm basing my opinion on the german side of things almost fully on what I've heard from posts on here (very reliable source I know) as well as some experience with irl work related germans and many seem to be straight up abusing it.
