@PeterLowrie12 Yes. So do you believe transitional species are real? In that case it would not conflict with the idea of intelligent design either; once again, God can use divine providence to achieve his goals, in this case transitional species over millions of years for a final product.

@PeterLowrie12 I’m curious; why do you think they are not indicative of evolutionary transitions? Transitional species retain ancestral traits, in the case of Hoatzin chicks the clawed wings, and also the platypus also shows clear transitional traits like laying eggs while having fur

@PeterLowrie12 First of all, Tiktaalik is not an amphibian. Tiktaalik has been extremely well studied and it’s up to you whether to recognize its status as a transitional species or not, because it is. Also, Tiktaalik sharing anatomy with other creatures today isn’t a counter argument

@PeterLowrie12 We have many, the most famous and revolutionary being Tiktaalik. But in the scientific community it’s acknowledged that due to the extremely rare nature of fossilization most transitional species are never found.

@PeterLowrie12 You choose to believe in because it is both fact and theory. The phenomenon of evolution is the fact, and the explanation behind it is the theory; just the same as the theory of germs, the Heliocentric theory, etc. So, as a Christian, I believe it’s fine to believe in evolution.

The consensus is shifting on evolution

@PeterLowrie12 @j_bambrick Laminin evolved this shape because its shape maximized efficiency at the molecular level, but for some reason you choose not to believe in human evolution.

It's undeniable. They just ignore it.
