So you all remember the elderly lady whose faucets and light switch I fixed for free last week because she had family coming over because of her husband‘s funeral last Saturday. She called me back a couple hours ago and said that her ring camera on the front of her house and on the back of her house, we’re not working and she couldn’t figure out why and asked if I would help. Of course I’ll help, so I go over to her house. I make sure all the wiring was in place. make sure all the batteries were good, reset all the cameras and got everything going for her in real time. Now she will feel secure in her home alone. As I was leaving she slid me $100 bill. I promptly slid the $100 bill back and told her I would not accept that, but what I would accept a dozen peanut butter, honey, oat cookies she has sitting on her counter, and she she had to give my card to three of her friends. She now feels secure, I’ll have referrals, and oh my God those cookies were so good. Mission successful.

While scrolling yesterday I saw a post asking the question if they would rather give up sex or social media. The author was adamant that social media would be gone. I was really curious, so I checked out their page and many days they had over 10 posts for the day. I think they would have to give up social media to get a life first.

Not related to the farm. I am working my hourly job in a town that has old rock work by the city park. I find this, so neat the skill and patience that it took to build it amazing. In some ways I am not sure we could do this kind of work anymore. After a quick search I found out this was a CCC project in the 1930's.

@HemmerleinLee My gpa worked for the WPA another government program building roads, schools and bridges..put food on the table.

A small rock wall that has some significant history on our farm. A loose stack construction that happened after world war I constructed by young men in the CCC camps. Rocks were brought in as they widened the county road from a bluff area not far away. My grandfather took part in the CCC camps but he got shipped out to Oregon.

My son tells me only fake female accounts get attention from lonely guys on X, the rest will be political posts that thrive on division. This is me no filter except for the hair it covers what it needs to. Tell me I'm pretty or tell me I'm ugly, tell me I am old, tell me I need a haircut, tell me I need a shave or tell me to stay off here in post cow photos.
