Israel has signed a ceasefire agreement with Hamas yet continues to bomb them and brags about it openly. I don’t know of any other country that does that. They do not even offer justifications for the breach of the deal they themselves agreed to.
jeremy scahill@jeremyscahill

In a sea of repeated ceasefire violations by Israel against Gaza, it remains important to note that Israel signed a ceasefire deal with *Hamas* yet continues to openly assassinate and attempts to assassinate Hamas officials and commanders, in addition to killing civilians daily.

Canadian lawmakers are peddling a lie and they know it. It should be a crime to make false accusations of anti-semitism. This is an effigy of Itamar Ben-Gvir. He loves nooses. On his birthday cake. On his lapel. In his laws. He lives by the noose.

Hanging an image of a Jew with a kippah in effigy is disgusting, antisemitic and clear incitement to hatred. I appreciate that @MrLeslieRoberts the city councillor for the downtown district has reached out to the @SPVM on this & I have done the same.

New: Flotilla organizers say "The Torture Boat" (where many of IDF soldiers' most severe abuses against humanitarians allegedly took place) was *US-built & funded ship.* Alleged abuses include beatings, sexual assault, tasing. Stun grenades & projectiles also allegedly US-made.

🚨Gaza just minutes ago: Israel struck Gaza city, reportedly killing and wounding several people. You can hear the painful screams in the background. Those of men, women, and children. They were supposed to celebrate Eid tomorrow. Israel just bombed them.

Yes, we need more people to call out the Congressional Black Caucus for assisting Zionists in their disgusting effort to push support for Israel into the Black community. They take blood money from AIPAC and do their bidding instead of standing for universal human rights.

The footage out of Gaza the last few days has been horrifying, but the footage tonight is reminiscent of what we witnessed day in and day out through 2023 and 2024. One friend in Nuseirat camp said that tonight was the worst night they’d experienced. It is the day before Eid al Adha and Israel, the ethno-supremacist Jewish nation it is, is slaughtering Palestinians as it always does before Islamic holidays.

Students see no issue using AI to complete their assignment because they have been conditioned to treat schooling as a means to a capitalist end and not a tool for acquiring knowledge. The proliferation of AI is just making this very explicit for those who didn’t already know.
Hollis Robbins@anecdotal

The bluntest comment I've ever read about why students are turning to AI: “What kind of economy and educational system has made a robot feel more viable, attentive, more dialogic, and more intellectually available than the institution charging students for a degree?”

I read Walter Rodney years ago because I refuse to speak ignorantly about Africa, colonialism, or the Black experience. Serious people read opposing frameworks instead of hiding from them. But here is where I depart from the modern activist interpretation. Yes… Europe extracted resources. Yes… colonial powers exploited weaker nations. Yes… the slave trade devastated regions and peoples. None of that should be denied. But Rodney’s framework becomes dangerous when it subtly trains generations of people to believe Black dysfunction exists almost entirely because of external actors while minimizing internal agency, governance, culture, incentives, corruption, family structure, and civilizational continuity. That is where the finger starts pointing toward evil. Because once a people are taught: “You are perpetually acted upon” instead of: “You possess responsibility, sovereignty, discipline, and agency”… …you create psychological dependency. And dependency is Democrat power. Africa’s challenges did not emerge from one variable. Geography mattered. Disease burden mattered. Agricultural diffusion mattered. Institutional development mattered. Tribal fragmentation mattered. Colonialism mattered. Post colonial corruption mattered. Socialism mattered. Human capital mattered. All of it matters. But modern Democrat ideological movements often isolate one variable: “Europe did this.” Why? Because grievance is politically useful. Meanwhile nations across Asia endured colonialism, warfare, famine, and devastation yet rapidly developed through: education social cohesion discipline family stability industrial policy and institutional competence. And this is where the modern Black American conversation becomes uncomfortable. Many urban communities today are not struggling because a white farmer in 1850 existed. They are struggling because of: fatherlessness crime normalization anti intellectual culture dependency systems drug epidemics financial illiteracy broken education and political machines that profit from perpetual instability. That is not hatred. That is observation. A people cannot permanently outsource blame without eventually weakening themselves spiritually and psychologically. The Almighty gave mankind dominion, responsibility, intellect, and choice. The danger of some modern Democrat grievance ideologies is that they slowly strip people of those very things while convincing them they are being empowered. That is why discernment matters. #SilentMajoritySpeaks #AStoneGroove
