One mistake I made as a beginner was trying to master everything from A to Z. If I’m being honest, I wanted to understand it all perfectly before moving forward, but that only slowed me down and made me feel intimidated by things that didn’t click immediately. If you’re learning programming, just know that clarity comes with progress and consistent practice. The more you build and keep going, the more things start to make sense.

I’ve been seeing a lot of posts about Reddit marketing lately, and since I’ve done it and get asked about it a lot, here’s my take. On Reddit, it’s always better to be safe than sorry. What does that actually mean? If you just created a new account, don’t try to sell anything. Spend your first month just enjoying Reddit. Pick a niche you’re actually into, tech, a hobby, anything and contribute. Help people, comment, be active daily. Focus on building karma and trust first. Once you’ve done that, you can start taking action. But even then, don’t just drop links. Your post will get removed instantly, and it kills trust. Keep it simple. Share something useful. Talk about what you’ve built, what you’re working on, or the real struggles you faced. If the story is good, people will naturally ask for the tool or link. That’s the perfect moment to share it. If no one asks, you can have a friend jump in with something like “What tool is this?” It opens the door in a natural way. That’s it.

Reddit is great for SEO, but not because of backlinks. The links are nofollow, and profile links are almost invisible to crawlers. You should use Reddit for traffic and ranking. Reddit is extremely authoritative (Top 500 global), so your posts can outrank your own landing page. It is also one of the best places to get raw feedback and real viral potential. Do not act like a spammer, because Reddit users hate ads. Spend time helping people first without mentioning your product. Once you build karma and trust, you can start sharing it naturally. A good approach is to post something valuable and only share your link if someone asks for it. You can start with communities like r/saas, r/indiehackers, and r/SideProject
