this one i heard, the father tried to teach his son a lesson so he let him go to prison. when he finally felt his son had learnt enough, he went to pay bail only to have someone who wasn’t his son brought for him. he went repeatedly and each time, they kept bringing him someone else. it wasn’t until years later that he learnt his son had died a few days after being imprisoned and the prison was trying to cover it up
