The TePe Sigeman organizers says Carlsen himself called and asked if he could come and play the tournament. "We almost fell off the chair, and couldn't believe it was true." dn.se/sport/darfor-s…

(1/4) Vaishali Rameshbabu (2496) was seeded last in the Candidates after a largely terrible year, but still managed to win the tournament despite a slow start! She earned the right to challenge for the World Championship title and she's almost back to 2500! 📷: M Walusza

I just learned about this book. I’m buying it right away! Boris is an amazing coach, and I like the topic. We should have more books aimed at “enjoying” chess. I am even considering writing one myself!

🇺🇸 Hikaru Nakamura Makes History Today in his stream, Hikaru Nakamura made a statement that showed exactly why he is currently the world number two, then immediately backed it up on the board by reaching a milestone no other chess player has ever touched: his 55th Bullet Brawl title. He scored 52.5/65 and finished with 172 points Winning one Bullet Brawl is already extremely hard. Reaching 55 titles is a level of consistency, speed, and dominance that no one has ever matched. At this point, “Bullet Brawl World Champion” should replace the classical world champion title when talking about Nakamura.
