Chesterford School

A day full of personal achievements - really proud of everyone you have really challenged yourselves. Activities today have included Jacobs’Ladder, caving, den building and a scavenger hunt. Rounding off the last night with a camp fire - good job there’s no near neighbours!

First full day has been busy - a bit of rescheduling due to some heavy rain and thunderstorms but the sun’s back out and everyone is having fun (even the surprise day guest) ! 😉

Arrived at Residential safely, first meal eaten, one activity completed, everyone on good form and now off for an evening walk on the coastal path so they’ll all be sleepy at bedtime 😴🤞😆

@ReikanCreations children at @chesterfordsch were inspired by you this afternoon. They loved creating their own insect art, we will definitely be developing this work further.

Due to the snow and trying to ensure all our staff and pupils are safe, we intend opening school at 10am today. Please keep checking your emails as the situation will be reviewed again at 0900am.

Final day at primary school for our youngest today. 13 years of continued association with the wonderful village school. Thankyou for the love, support and learning you have given our girls @chesterfordsch

After the fresh air yesterday, Year 6 slept well. The children have now all packed up and are enjoying their last two activities this morning.

Year 6 enjoyed a fun water fight this afternoon with a trip to the beach for their final evening.

It’s warm but the children have enjoyed the morning activities of orienteering and caving.

This afternoon the children completed some team activities, climbing and more zip wire sessions. This evening we enjoyed a campfire. Looking forward to sleep tonight after the fresh air and physical exercise.

The children have enjoyed a range of activities this morning including archery, zipwire, aeroball, den building and buggy building. Following lunch, they are having some quiet time in the shade before afternoon sessions.

Year 6 have arrived! Their beds are made and they are fully engaged in the activities. Archery, aeroball and den building sessions completed. We’re off for a walk before bed.

Class One have been inventing their own plants and explaining how they grow. There’s a special message about the ‘stink bomb’ plant here for @SteveBackshall from one of our creative pupils. ☺️A reply would absolutely make our day!!

Well done to years 3 and 4 for their fantastic performances of ‘Rock Pool’. Awesome singing and acting was enjoyed by all.
