It’s more important to develop the skill of knowing who to listen to than trying to figure things out yourself. Discuss.

AI will force clever people to be spiritual since all cleverness is at its root, formulaic.

Social media is like society: most of it sucks but certain bits of it are priceless - if you can find them.

There may not be such a thing as ‘the one’ - it could be that there is ‘the five’ but in life you only need to meet one of them.

@elonmusk My mum told me I had to work harder than the white kids at school because I’m Chinese. Is that the same thing?

If Steve Jobs were still alive, he would have the moral authority to face and maybe even to solve this problem. But I doubt anyone in the phone business now does.

Nearly every billionaire on this planet would happily sacrifice you for a few extra points on their investments. This isn't theoretical. It literally happens. They make decisions knowing full well those decisions will harm the planet and cost people their lives.

I think X would be 10x better if people were limited to two posts a day but unlimited replies. What do you think?

@cheungmondray Honestly, that might actually improve the quality of posts a lot. People would probably think more before posting, while replies could keep the conversations active and spontaneous.

@WomanMySock Accusing people of being indoctrinated while failing to address their arguments is exactly the kind of behaviour that diminishes the value of free speech.

@cheungmondray The issue isn't about it being common, but rather that it stinks to the extreme. And for you to find this so normal and acceptable shows that you are a mental slave. The indoctrination with you was 101% successful.

@cheungmondray X should just scrap the revenue-sharing program; the platform would have fewer posts, and the quality would be higher🤣

I have a different perspective on this. I think it’s great to shed light on underrated spots. If anything, it helps with overtourism in touristy areas and allows people to appreciate a more authentic local culture and experience. I can’t see the point of the opposite either: what should we do, keep certain underrated spots religiously “secret”? People who want to go to Mykonos will keep going to Mykonos, certainly not to remote regions of the mainland. If your point is touristic misbehavior, this has nothing to do with posts pointing to underrated places. I find it rather unbalanced to suggest someone should be persona non grata because of this, when they have actually tried to sum up a valid angle in beautiful terms for your country.

@elmachazo Free speech is worthless if people don’t know how to listen. Please bear this in mind.
