Your votes don’t count so how did Peter Obi win Lagos in the last election? The more people show up, the more difficult it is to rig. And even if, even though, last last. What is the benefit of sitting down at home? What is the justification? When there is fire on the mountain

I will not hesitate to spoil the mood once I hear any sexist talk around me. You must explain what you mean by that and why you’ve chosen to remain foolish in the 21st century.

So this is how the Ozoro incidents will just come & go? Even with overwhelming video evidence. What is the hope for young girls & women in this country? How can we be so indifferent to this level of evil? It is not normal. This is a 17-year old child fgs. What is her crime?
The ICIR@TheICIR

17-year-old Mercy still haunted by nightmare in Ozoro: Dragged by her top, groped by 20 men in a mob surge near Oramudu festival. “I was so scared and embarrassed. Like 20 people touched my breasts. I felt like crying,” she said, adding that, “I was happy that it happened in the night, because many people in the town didn’t see my face.” Read more: icirnigeria.org/sexual-violenc…

You will be tempted to show that you are doing well, but it is important you resist the urge to perform for an audience that don’t matter. It’s very unnecessary.

I think the most useless people in all of this are the ones whose consistent contribution is "You're not married yet but you're already preparing for war" when the topic is the realities of marriage. It's such an unintelligent take, we're dissecting crucial issues ffs, shut up.

Another thing I've come to find out is that many Nigerian married women lie about their husbands a lot. They praise mediocre men and lie about their support. Take everything a married woman tells you about her husband with a pinch of salt, especially when you didn't ask them.

This is the disgusting state of female hostel in UNN in 2026. Not surprised at all. When a Governor is more invested in superficial optics like bleaching cream than real leadership, embarrassment stops being part of the equation. In 2026 FGS!!!

This 📌 The irony is that they can’t even articulate opposition to feminism without centering it around marriage and romantic desirability. The critique isn’t about policy, labour rights, bodily autonomy, or any of the actual substance of feminist theory, it’s “I wouldn’t wife her.” It reveals what they actually think women’s ultimate goal is. In their framework, no matter what a woman is doing, building a career, engaging in political activism, the final measure of her success or failure is whether a man finds her marriageable. So when they say “I wouldn’t marry a feminist,” they genuinely believe they’re landing a blow. Which is exactly the thing feminists have been critiquing for decades which is the reduction of women’s entire existence to their relationship status and appeal to men. They’re proving the point while trying to argue against it.

They used a weapon to hit her leg so she won't be able to run. They went around half naked looking for women to sexually assault. The damage control and cover up you bastards are trying to do in Ozoro will destroy you.

Between the 1500s and 1700s, women in Britain, Germany, and Scotland were punished with the Scold’s Bridle—a cruel iron mask that locked around their head, pressed down or pierced their tongue, and forced them into public humiliation. Women labeled as “too talkative” or “disrespectful” were chained, paraded through the streets, and ridiculed. This wasn’t just about keeping someone quiet—it was a tool of patriarchal control, designed to punish women who dared to speak, stand up, or defy male authority. Some masks even had bells so everyone could hear their arrival, turning their suffering into a spectacle. Today, surviving bridles in museums remind us how far societies went to silence women and why fighting misogyny and patriarchal control is still necessary.
