Yeah, it helps Khris because having bird rights leads to more options for him. It helps the Mavericks have a potential option for trades. with teams that value Khris. His bird rights and previous salary means he could be signed and traded to help the Mavericks acquire a player they want. Also, re-signing him using his bird rights doesn't cut into any other exception in team building. It does increase their salary towards the first apron but they have room.

Would love for @CBAMavs to explain the potential benefitsnof this move for Middleton and what, if any, advantages the Mavs have in re-signing him

Cowboys telling George Pickens & David Mulugheta to go find a market, to me, is lazy work by the front office… Other teams would do the work for Dallas so they can simply match any deal if they choose to… Plus the 2 1st round picks aren’t firm, that can be negotiated if a team signs Pickens to an offer sheet If you want Pickens, keep him, negotiate and find a deal, there, to me, should be no entertaining the idea of moving on from Pickens #DallasCowboys

"reward bad teams" there are franchises that haven't won playoff series in decades... what is the league supposed to do? hold their hands? just intentionally reward horrible mismanagement? this isn't the boy scouts they operate under the same rules as everyone else

Fans want Maxx Crosby, but suddenly, they're like, "Whoa, wait a minute," if it means giving up George Pickens. You can't just load up the roster with $20+ million players. Dak, CeeDee, Quinnen, Tyler, DaRon, Kenny, Osa ...and now both George and Maxx? No. You have to pick one.

@NationMffl I’d do the trade but let’s be real. It’s basically 5 second round picks and financial flexibility. All the players are not good. Again, I’d do it just to get off the player.

Can’t believe I’m seeing so many people dislike this Anthony Davis trade. We got expiring contracts, 2 FRP’s, 3 SRP’s and a solid young player. Way more financial flexibility as well for the Cooper Flagg era. Great trade for the Mavs.
