April 4th is World Civet Day! The common palm civet is a primarily nocturnal animal that spends most of its time up off the ground in trees and on roofs in urbanized areas. It is common in Singapore. Kopi luwak, the world's most expensive coffee, uses beans digested by a civet.

It's National Bunsen Burner Day! 🔥 This iconic symbol of science was invented in the 1850s by German chemist Robert Bunsen and his lab assistant, Peter Desaga. Bunsen burners are used commonly in labs for heating, sterilization, and combustion.

March 25th is Manatee Appreciation Day! Manatees are also knows as “sea cows” which matches their voracious appetite for sea grasses, weeds, and algae. They can eat about a tenths of their weight in 24 hours!

March 20th is World Sparrow Day! The house sparrow is a very common bird all around the world. They prefer living alongside humans, and are absent from uninhabited woodlands, deserts, forests, and grasslands. You can spot them foraging for food on the ground!
