@pokeefe1 @tehTrunk Because either a) they are not good enough b) they got unlucky and punished for every mistake c) they dont truly care d) they weren't prepared properly by the manager e) all the above

@chillyourface @tehTrunk I don't understand how players can receive that welcome and not react to the enormity of it. They should have been pumped to fuck yet they came out so tepid. Should've been 100mph from the off.

We’ve lost at home to both West Ham and Forest in recent weeks, both of whom are terrible. I’ll keep believing until it’s confirmed, but the grim reality is that you probably don’t stay up when you’re being battered by relegation threatened peers.

@pokeefe1 @tehTrunk Iam clutching to any straw that may be available right now. I guess despite the hard truth smacking me in the face, that I am numb and in denial. Simply can't believe it mate. As I've said previously, just feels like a slow, painful death by a thousand small cuts.

@SniersMoregut Vicario - Porro, Romero, VDV, Udogie - Paulinha, Gray - Kudus, Simons, Tel - Richy. Still hugely flawed but at least the right variety and balance.

@fullback03 The way West Ham and Forest are playing, they will both get over 40pts. Spurs need 4 wins out of 7 games. We’re down

@WindyCOYS Winning majority of duels and 50/50s, pressing hard and high, purposefully moving the ball about, taking shots on...these are v positive signs indeed.

@SniersMoregut @RyanJacobson1 For sure. PL is a different beast and their will be a degree of anxiety but this Atleti team is far superior to NFFC and we should go into this with bags of renewed confidence. We finally enter a home match with optimism and fire.

@SD19888 @MiguelDelaney As a Spurs fan I totally agree. Both CFC and City doped their way to success with AFC losing out perhaps the most (also lost best players to each of them). Gutting really because both NL clubs were run really well at the time and deserved more.

@MiguelDelaney I mean it was arsenal that was dominating london at the time abramavich came in - I wonder how may titles could have been won if arsenal signed hazard for example instead of chelsea

Spurs got 86 points in 2016-17 - very high for a non-champion A Chelsea propelled by these payments beat them That changed history could have transformed Spurs’ present - which is all too relevant now independent.co.uk/sport/football…

@AnasFTL @ianherbs Imagine the sympathy extended to West Ham or Forest if they had even half our injury list for a couple of weeks let alone a large chunk of the season.

This is a disgraceful article. The media are desperate to see Spurs to go down. Seething that we didn’t get battered yesterday. How dare we actually show a bit of fight and leave with a point despite having 14 players out. Shame on you, @ianherbs.

Nottingham Forest need not despair. I sat with the Tottenham fans at Anfield and Richarlison's goal should fool no one - it was a joyless pit of frustration and naked fury at how hollow Igor Tudor and his team are trib.al/CkLvwj7

@adamdnathan It does feel v significant. The valuable point aside, it stops the rot and breathes belief back into the sqaud. If we can take 3 pts next week, I will be very bullish about our prospects of staying up. We craved a moment and there is optimism this may be the catalyst.

We’ve not achieved anything yet, but the relief of knowing we don’t go into yet another Monday being the media-wankers whipping boys, if even for a couple of days, feels like the weight of the world has been lifted.

@Ollie_Davis It sort of negates/balances out West Ham's superb draw yesterday (we all expected a heavy loss today) and Forest's draw looks a bad one now for them (again, we all expected them to win at home). Long way to go and v much in the balance, but we finally have some hope!

Thought we’d be two points behind Forest, not one point ahead of them, going into the game next weekend. That result and performance today has certainly changed the mood and outlook ahead of it.

@Lilywhite_Rose However bad it has seemed in the past, we at least retained that perhaps misguided or misplaced scrap of optimism...a sense that we could be capable of doing something useful regardless of the challenge...this entire situation is in its most brutal sense, feels hopeless.
