@itsjcbtw4 Depends on the destination. The farther it is, the more expensive it becomes especially if you have layovers because they are have to pay twice.

May perfume enthusiasts ba here? May question ako. Is it just me or ung Diptyque, kahit EDP, weak / not long lasting? Para syang EDT lang or even cologne. Parang Jo Malone na ambilis mawala. Parang sayang kasi lol. Ang mahal pa naman. Or baka sa binili ko? Or body chem?

Do y’all think Katseye can sell out arenas in Asia? I know they show up for streams and all but can the people interested in them fill up arenas? I have doubts, they ain't that big there unlike K-pop groups, so maybe they should play it safe with theaters if they want to tour?

I visited Paris and Rome because of Emily Cooper. Europe was never in my travel plans because I intend to just travel to Japan and USA every year and spend my money on Black Friday. So sad to see my well loved series go. 😭
Anish Moonka@anishmoonka

Netflix never owned Emily in Paris. They've been renting it from Paramount since 2020. Now Paramount is buying Warner Bros to take on Netflix directly, so Netflix is killing the show. Emily in Paris belongs to Paramount Television Studios, the company behind CBS, MTV, and Nickelodeon. Netflix pays Paramount a fee for each season they stream on the platform. The show launched in October 2020. Netflix has never produced a single episode of it. Each episode costs $3 to $5 million to film. A 10-episode season runs about $40 million just to make, before any of the contract bonuses kick in. Lily Collins reportedly takes home $300,000 per episode plus a producer cut. France refunds 30% of money spent filming there (capped at €30 million per show, around $35 million), which is why the show films entirely in Europe. The contract terms get worse for Netflix the longer a show runs. Bonus payments to the creator and star stay small at first. After season 3 they spike, sometimes from a few hundred thousand to millions a year. By season 6, the show is at peak cost. Shows Netflix doesn't own cost about 20% more than the ones it makes itself. The audience also started shrinking. Season 4 opened to 19.9 million views in its first week. Season 5 came in at 13.5 million, a 32% drop. The full season ran 20.5% behind the one before. Still a hit by streaming standards, but not a hit big enough to justify what season 6 was going to cost. The rival kept getting bigger too. Paramount-Skydance finished merging in August 2025. In February this year, Paramount outbid Netflix to buy Warner Bros Discovery for $110 billion. Netflix walked away with a $2.8 billion breakup payment from Paramount as a consolation prize. Now Netflix is sending licensing money every quarter to the company that just took Warner Bros out from under them. Two other Netflix hits got the same treatment in May. The Lincoln Lawyer (owned by A+E Studios) is ending after season 5. The Night Agent (owned by Sony Pictures Television) is ending after season 4. Three of the platform's most-watched shows wrapped up inside the same three weeks, and Netflix doesn't own a frame of any of them. The footprint Emily in Paris built off-screen goes way past streaming numbers. France's film agency found 38% of foreign tourists in Paris said the show was one reason they came. Luxury brands paid €500,000 to €1 million each to get written into the storyline. Season 4 had 480 brands and 25,000 pieces of clothing across the costumes. Paramount kept the marketing machine it built. When the licensing deal runs out, Paramount keeps the show. Netflix is left with the subscribers it already brought in, and one last expensive season to pay for.

@ggukminies That’s exactly the reason why. Smaller stadium = lesser tickets = lesser revenue = higher ticket prices. Concert production is normally less variable, meaning, mas marami syang fixed cost like talent fee. Hindi yan bumababa just because the venue is smaller
