For years, third term in primary schools came with a special kind of chaos.
Parents rushed to buy expensive graduation outfits, teachers juggled rehearsals and presentations, and children spent more time practicing than learning. By the end of the term, everyone was exhausted.
Then the government stepped in and ended graduation ceremonies for nursery and primary schools.
As a parent, I welcomed it because it saves families money and unnecessary stress.
As a teacher, I love it even more because I can focus on what truly matters, teaching, completing the scheme of work, and giving my pupils the attention they deserve without the distractions of endless rehearsals.
This third term has been the easiest and most peaceful I have experienced in a long time.
Maybe not every celebration needs a ceremony.

@chiomasaid At times we need that effort from the government and technocrats to bring things to order

@chiomasaid Yes for some schools in our school they change the term from graduation to sendoff

@chiomasaid Spot on!
The excess or overbearing celebration is normally rooted in the thoughts to "impress".
A challenge that normally cause unnecessary rivalry between kids and even parents.
.can we do better? Yes.
