In honor of @nickshirleyy , James O’Keefe visited California homeless shelters/non-profits in South Los Angeles: Abundant Blessing & Urban Alchemy. Both non-profits were accused of fraud. We went on the ground to visit these groups and discovered there were actually zero homeless people there. Abundant Blessings Incorporated, a homeless shelter that claims its mission is to end homelessness by providing short- and long-term housing, received funding of $23 million. The executive director, Alexander Soofer, was arrested on charges of fraudulently obtaining the $23 million in public funds. Urban Alchemy, another non-profit that claims to provide hygiene services and operate “safe sleep villages,” received over $60 million in government contracts, including more than $12 million through LAHSA since 2021. Homeless individuals shared with our undercover journalists that they have gone to the shelters for blankets, socks, and toothpaste, but they are always out of items. These shelters receive millions of dollars a year, and nobody knows where the money is going. NEW: A McAlester mother is clinging to life at a Tulsa hospital following a brutal attack by an unidentified animal that investigators said is unlike anything they’ve seen in over 30 years. Alicia Maxey was found severely injured on Sunday morning in a remote yard near Blanco. While the family initially believed a dog was responsible, the sheer scale of the injuries has prompted the Pittsburg County Sheriff’s Office to bring in wildlife experts to solve the mystery of what kind of animal attacked Alicia. She was found roughly an hour later by the homeowner, an EMT, who immediately began lifesaving measures until a medical helicopter could arrive. “[In] 38 years, I’ve never been involved or seen anything to this extent as far as injuries caused by a wild animal,” said Pittsburg County Sherriff Frankie McClendon. With Alicia—the family’s sole breadwinner—hospitalized and their only vehicle impounded following the incident, Wallace has no reliable way to get to his critical treatments located two hours away. The community is now rallying to help the Maxey family cover mounting costs for food, housing and the fees required to retrieve their impounded vehicle. A GoFundMe has been established to support Alicia’s recovery and ensure Wallace can reach his medical appointments. So far it has raised $29,000 but they are gonna need more to get them through this horrible situation

@TimOnPoint I was expecting brilliant 4k or 8K streaming of the moon's surface, but their comms systems aren't optimized for video streaming, which surprises me.

NASA really blew a golden opportunity with this flight. They should have had wall-to-wall experts and personalities talking about this mission, future missions, science, physics, stories, etc. NASA has so many talented people, why not feature them. I'm really surprised about it too. They have the human resources, why all the dead air and a single, unchanging video feed? Heck, they could have turned the broken toilet story into pure science class gold. This is/was the single best way to capture/maintain/increase support from the American public and capture the imagination of the next generation. Sorry, I don't mean to be that guy, I'm very excited about the return to the Moon... my kids turned it off.

Has anyone successfully tried to recreate the "bunker" photo from S4 using the original photo from Gabe? It looks like you cant get the lines in the movie with the original image and wiggling of color levels. It just looks like a blank hillside with nothing there.
