@kyhighs Meade was in the 17th District and 5th Region for a long time before moving to the 3rd. There are some old rivalries in there. The Fort Knox thing makes no sense other than to avoid the larger schools of North, Central, and John Hardin.

Meade County has asked to move from Third Region to Fifth Region, and Fort Knox has asked to move from Fifth Region to Third Region. Won't happen today, but will be considered in the fall.

Our deepest connections are forged not in moments of victory, but in the struggles and defeats that shaped us. Wayne Co's David Clark pictured in 1989 at state after his buzzer beater rolled out and PRP prevailed in the final, 75-73.

@Hot_Pepper76 Yes, at Freedom Hall in Louisville 1987 or 1988. Had 2nd row seats. Chris Squire hit a bass note, and I thought someone had punched me.

What’s the loudest concert you’ve ever been to, the kind you didn’t just hear, you felt in your chest? Mine was in a church, during a Sunday service, no joke. They hand out earplugs at the door, every Sunday.

@KYHSHistory With consolidation, it is amazing how many of those schools didn't exist by the late 70s. I thought region 5 was always what I had grown up with, but in this poll, most if not all are in region 6.

In December of 1961, Virgie was ranked No. 1 in the state of Kentucky by Dr. Litkenhous. Coach Virgil Osborne's Eagles finished 30-5 that year, losing in the state quarterfinals at Freedom Hall to Breathitt County.

Here is the latest ice predictions from 12zHRRR (high res). This just came out. Anything above 1" means MAJOR impacts. It's predicting Forsyth, Hall, Jackson, Banks, Dawson, Cherokee, Lumpkin, Habersham, White, and Rabun Counties to see that much ice through the day tomorrow. This includes the cities of Canton, Cumming, Gainesville, and Flowery Branch. These areas need to prepare for deteriorating conditions quickly tomorrow afternoon.
