King Diamond Album Ranking from Worst to Best #3: Conspiracy (1989) I would go as far as to say that this is King Diamond’s HEAVIEST record! I absolutely LOVE Andy Laroque’s guitar tone on this thing! He dials back the technicality from the previous two albums and just gives us BITCHIN riff after BITCHIN riff! Also this might be the darkest story King ever penned! The sequel to ‘Them’ and it’s gets WAY heavier and more twisted! I also like how King’s voice is not as out of control as previous albums. It’s actually pretty melodic in comparison to other albums. So I love how overall this album dials some things back, without losing any of the sounds edge! At The Graves is just a FUCKIN TRIP, man😂 So many twists and turns in that song! Sleepless Nights is probably the best song of the album! Maybe Andy’s BEST riff ever! Lies is a surprisingly catchy song for King. I really dig it! A Visit From The Dead is HEAVY AS FUCK! Amon Belongs To Them is a great, slower tempo song with an amazing riff on it! Victimized is a RAGER! And the closer Cremation is a great closing instrumental! Overall, I FUCKING LOVE this album! It may not be the bands most technical album, considering the line up they had. But this might have Kings best songwriting and the band’s best performance as a whole! JUST KILLER! 🤘🏻🔥

King Diamond Album Ranking from Worst to Best #7: The Puppet Master (2003) This is ABSOLUTELY my favorite modern King Diamond album! I fucking LOVE how dark, sinister and epic this album is! The story plays out like a slasher Horror flick and King REALLY goes back to his roots with playing different characters and changing his voice! I also REALLY dig Andy Laroque’s tone on this thing. It fits the vibe of the story so well. The faster songs feeling more urgent and the slower songs showing a lot of emotions. This is also a rare case where when you listen to the story, you actually feel for the characters (or at least I do) and that helps bolster the listening experience! To me, there aren’t a lot of dips in the track list. The album does drag on a bit at the end. But I’m so invested in the story that it almost doesn’t matter! The title track is such a RAGING opener! I LOVE how melodic Magic is. My GAWD the half-tempo riffing on Emerencia is SO KILLER! The Ritual is a top ten favorite King Diamond song OF ALL TIME for me! That main riff gets me EVERY TIME! Blood To Walk fuckin SMOKES! Darkness is a great, slower track and the closer Living Dead is such a soul crusher if you pay attention to the story! Despite this being number 7, I’m a HUGE fan of this album and it’s one of my favorite concept albums of all time. That should tell you how GREAT the top half of this ranking is! 😂

This makes sense? Costs 3X more to rent versus buy a digital version of "The Nice Guys" on Amazon Prime! Great movie though. Worth buying on 4K DVD

The demise of the mass market paperback—as an affordable object aimed at improving access to written materials AND as an aesthetic object with its own forms and beauties—is deeply depressing.

Nothing compares to the Oscars slap! Covering that show for social media in 2022 was a career highlight.
