@lemontreewords I think a lot of what the show is trying to say is hidden within metaphor, and its why I dont really like literal interpretations of the ending specifically

@lemontreewords I saw an analysis about the fall as Will's metaphorical descent and rebirth, and the way Will and Hannibal embrace before the fall evokes sex as well.

It’s interesting to contemplate whether we should interpret them as having fucked or not, given that the world and language of Hannibal is surreal and cinematic, not real or realistic, and moments like the ortolan scene were intended explicitly to evoke sex between them.
