@ellefliesfic people just expecting lucifer to be a show everyone is open to is really unfair to me. we know the show has a huge audience so it's okay some people don't watch it 🤷🏻‍♀️

@ellefliesfic i remember when i was in 8th grade i was convinced i was being hunted by a demon and it's still hard for me to talk abt out loud. i'm a huge horror fan now and being able to enjoy these types of things has been healing for me, but it wasn't an easy over night thing at all.

🧵| i wanna talk about smth a little serious here. i saw that there is a tweet going around talking abt how they'd never watch lucifer bc it's satanist propaganda which has obviously upset the fandom and there is a lot backlash in the replies. [1/]

lucifer is a biblical figure which means there are tons of interpretations of him. the show lucifer is not the "real" lucifer an more than the devil in any horror movie. show lucifer is a separate character.

to a lot of people the devil is a very scary reality. to a lot of people he is a metaphor. but the show is a show. while religion isn't "real" to many, they are not equal. as a fan, you have to accept that the show isn't for everyone and that's okay.

i used to be religious, to the point that THINKING abt the devil felt like i was genuinely inviting him to possess me. it was genuinely terrifying. watching the show helped me get past that. HOWEVER, if ppl had shoved it down my throat it would've had the opposite effect. (3/)

i've seen so many deckerstar x all too well vids and edits and it's like on a base level i get it but... that song is literally abt a toxic relationship and she's saying she remembers it "all too well" bc he was gaslighting her into thinking the relationship was unimportant 🤕
