I was wondering if there are any other EPs whose roll sits in children’s social care? I started one like this in September and I’m wondering if there are any peer support spaces to discuss the unique aspects of the role? #twitterEPs

🌟New blog post Molly discusses what EPs can do for Welsh-medium children with additional learning needs. She has also created a fabulous reflective tool, useful for any EP working with children who speak multiple languages Read here: edpsy.org.uk/blog/2024/what… #TwitterEPs

@LauraJaneHalton Thanks so much for your comments Laura ☺️ I’m pleased you enjoyed the episode and I agree. We of course don’t have all the answers but more oversight of this from an EP perspective could be extremely helpful to support these systems/processes.

I've really enjoyed this episode! It still baffles me how there is such little data on reduced timetables, managed moved and unofficial exclusions - so much more needs to be done in this area to protect children and their right to education! #TwitterEPs #Podcast

@NazamHussainEP @PsychBitesPod Thank you so much for your feedback! Thank you for noticing the thought and care gone in to how we considered all parties involved - the balancing act of this and how we speak about it being one of the key EP roles here - in my opinion.

@PsychBitesPod Nice listen.. insightful, practical, and empathetic towards those most proximal to the issues. Shining a spotlight on the intentions, strategies, and implemention (de-implementation) of part-time attendance is definitely a role for the EP.

I have delivered trauma interventions for war-affected kids in various countries. It’s devastating. I wish we didn’t have to. Psychology should focus on prevention, and the ultimate prevention is peace I’d love to see more of the psychology community calling for a #CeasefireNOW

A real pinch me moment seeing my thesis credited in national policy🥹It was a pleasure working with Welsh Government to develop a 3 page guidance on reduced/part time timetables in their new policy. I hope it can be helpful to schools and families in Wales!
