we really need to start talking about how traumatic puberty is for girls. there’s something so terrifying about still being a child but men stop seeing you as one. you suddenly become very aware that one wrong move around them could end with you dying or worse.

the theory that men marry whoever happens to be in their life when they’re finally ready for marriage feels true sometimes, especially when you see them get married then still go out and cheat.
