@BurgessBoston Comic butcher is one of my favorite characters in fiction. I thought they’d do him justice this season of the show considering how they left things off last season, but morally complex characters seems to be beyond what the writers are capable of

The Boys isn’t “realistic.” It’s pessimistic superhero fiction from a bitter guy trying way too hard to be edgy, carried by a show that started off as a huge improvement on the comics that then became the same corporate superhero machine it was parodying.
