Turns out it’s called an “ale extractor”. But how do I condition beer under soft spile using the system?

Does anybody know what this cask dispense system is called?

Righty ho. That was a longer break than we imagined. We’re ramping up production again. Expect to see Amarillo Sour, Dark Matter, and others in the coming months.

@paddyvb Glad you liked it though. From memory @Jameshoz spent all day with the juicer and a massive sack of cucumbers from Smithfield market.

First step of many in getting @ChorltonBrew up and running again is to do the financials. I’ve no idea what’s happened price-wise in the last two years. Any breweries want to send me their price lists (keykegs and cans), so I can conduct some industrial espionage? 🙂

Have to share this beautiful bretanomyces pellicle found in the cellar of a 18th century British pub. A sample has been taken and it’s going to be propagated. Maybe it will make it’s debut in the next release of Dark Matter.

Pondering... Breweries used to brew a new beer. Then breweries “released” a new beer. Now breweries “drop” a new beer.

Seems this bottle’s been sitting around half full for around 50 years.

A question for pubs, bars and bottle shops (please feel free to retweet at your boozer of choice). Will you have a winter of uninterrupted trading or are you prepared for everything to hit the fan again? There’s no crystal ball obvs but which assumption is driving your planning?

@ThingsByNik @celynb People seem really divided on this. We’ve brewed the recipe at all different ABVs from 6.7 to 10.1%. I (mike) love the stronger ones but is it really practical in cans?

@ChorltonBrew @celynb Did you ever decide what ABV you are going to aim for with it?

Had a bottle of 2018 Dark Matter by @ChorltonBrew when it was originally released. Interested to see how this bottle is 3yrs on after being stashed away under my stairs. Looking forward to this one.
