@ChristinsQueens @sarahdiaryz So looking ahead, at some point in the future, the King and Queen won’t be able to have a family holiday with all their children outside of Denmark without asking Joachim to come back from the US?
English

@sarahdiaryz Yes. As rigsforstander HM acts as regent.
Margrethe, Mary, Joachim and Benedikte are rigsforstander, Christian as Crown Prince regent in case Frederik is out of the country.

Former PMs can claim up to £115,000 p.a to cover office/secretarial costs arising from their position in public life. Truss claimed £23,310 between resignation in Nov ‘22 & March ‘23. In ‘24/25, she claimed £97,152. Is she using our taxes to spout lies about the UK in the USA?
Damian Low@DamianLow3
Just a former Prime Minister spouting lies about her own country in the USA for money. Taking money to undermine her own country’s reputation abroad when she still has privileges paid by the UK taxpayer is outrageous. Plastic patriot.

Women are at serious risk when staying at @TravelodgeUK. The hotel staff who gave a man a key to a woman's room at 3am were apparently following security procedures 'correctly' which beggars belief since:
❌She was checked in as a single woman.
❌They didn't phone her to check if he really was her boyfriend and welcome in her room.
❌They didn't accompany him to the room and knock.
❌They gave him a key card because he knew her name.
After he let himself in and sexually assaulted her, Travelodge offered her a £30 refund.
This is even more horrifying since it is not the first time this has happened. James Cox was convicted in 2025 of raping a woman in a Travelodge in Liverpool. You might think Travelodge would have instigated better security after such an incident, instead it seems to be aiding and abetting sex offenders. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Most economic students or economists know nothing. The U.K. economy outperformed other comparable economies despite massive government incompetence.
Lawrence O'Donnell@Lawrence
Every first year economics student knew this would happen.
English

@Arron_banks Do you have published evidence from economics experts to support this outperformance claim? Because anyone can make a claim…

The Salt Path: what did the publisher actually know?
A long disclaimer and a medical note hint that Penguin had an inkling of problems ahead.
