"POSITRON": Xbox MAY be working on a disc-to-digital program for gamers in the ecosystem, enabling digital entitlements like Xbox Cloud Gaming and Xbox Play Anywhere.
Given that now even PlayStation is 85% digital, the likelihood that next-gen goes all-digital is pretty high.
Also, Microsoft has a new Xbox Game Pass tierset in the works, specifically for China.

SPECULATION | Project Positron: A potential Xbox disc-to-digital entitlement program.
Allowing owners of physical games to obtain digital entitlements, likely to support the upcoming fully digital next-gen Xbox “Helix” console.
Help bridge physical collections to digital/cloud features, as disc owners currently miss out on many modern perks (cloud gaming and Play Anywhere) amid the industry’s shift to digital.
Microsoft may implement restrictions (e.g. one-time conversion that invalidates the physical license) to satisfy publishers.

Any PlayStation game purchased digitally after March's sytem update will reportedly now require an internet connection once every 30 days to validate the license 🎮 If the console stays offline longer than that, the games will not launch until you reconnect (via @MrZackXOfficial)

Game Pass Ultimate has become too expensive for too many players. Starting today, we’re dropping the price from $29.99 to $22.99/month. Future Call of Duty titles will no longer join Game Pass Ultimate on day one. They will join this tier the following holiday after launch (about a year later).
