@aaronfitt Obviously no way to make it completely fair and equal but a #9 overall seed (USM) should not have one of the toughest 3 regionals of the host schools. Make it make sense. Lol. Oh well got to play great to advance and capable of doing it.

Southern Miss gets the No. 9 national seed, as projected. Fun regional in Hattiesburg, UVa strikes me as a dangerous 2 seed, finally healthy again, gave me a good vibe in Charlotte. Jacksonville State should have been a 2 seed, can't understand how they're a 3. Little Rock the 4.

@Radar27_98 @marketheridge Agree. A&M can rake offensively but pitching staff is not very good. Leaves them vulnerable if they don’t mash.

It's been a mixed bag for teams that dominated mid-major leagues in regular season but needed to win auto bids to get in. Always feels like a shame when the clear-cut best team (ORU, Wright State, St. Joe's, High Point, Campbell, Gonzaga) can't get it done in conference tourney.

@chris9long the leagues get to decide who gets their auto bid -- they are all free to give it to the regular-season champion, as the Big West and Pac-12 did for so many years. But eventually even those leagues bent to the pressure from fans to have a conference tourney to award auto bid.
